this is pismo beach. its not a bad video but i've personally seen whole trucks get dragged out to see in it. its about a 1/4 strip that during high tide literally just swallows everything if you don't time it right. the worse part about it is the sand out there is really soft and you just sink once you stop. luckily this is like my backyard for me. so i like to watch people get stuck in cars like minis and hondas then laugh tat them.

Call me a n00b, but I'm assuming the gunk around the gears is watered down oil? Maybe with some shavings in it? Kinda hard to tell on the phone

it looks like some of the teeth are messed up!

I broke (well the previous raped and it happen to break on me) the rear diff. Blew 2 teeth (thats what I call them) completely off.

Its welded... No "gunk" in this pic.

When the PO welded it he didnt take the time to get the welding spatter out and it floated around in there, chipped some teeth.
Most of it is on the heel and toe anyway, so it doesnt cause any problems. Its quieter than my d35 was.

Nothing wrong with a welded rearend my dana 60 rear looks alot like that. Alot cleaner but same concept. I honestly wouldnt screw with that the spiders are a weak point in the 8.8 & with it welded it eliminates the issue......providing the guy didnt over heat the spiders.

Okay, so I don't really like hating on fellow Nissan owners....but I snapped this Desert Runner the other day. I apologize for the graniness of the picture. The camera app on my phone was set to 640x480 and I didn't notice until it was too late.

Essentially, it looks like 2" aluminum blocks were installed UNDER the leaf pack. My thinking is lift blocks gone wrong. Yes, there is two inches of gap between your mounting plate and axle. However, the only thing you've done is reduce your ground clearance by making your shock mounts/leaf spring plates lower.

Midget, there are a tonnnn of "Bright" ideas here. I facepalm at least 4-6 times daily at something I see on the road. There are no emissions or lift laws here so people just drive whatever will start up. You should see the Ford explorer sport trac on 44's, It sounds like it's going to blow up because it's still on stock drivetrain.

I went to a dealership ready to buy a jeep Cherokee they had pending a test drive. Worst test drive ever! It was raining and coming to a stoplight the right rear brake locked up? Then while waiting at light the Jeep just died. Finally git it started again and went straight ball to dealer and told where he could put that Jeep and the pricetag he had on it. He said is there anything else on the lot that might interest you? I looked around and something silver and shiny caught my eye, I said maybe that Xterra but I know nothing about it. 45 minute test drive later it was mine. I was that close to owning a Jeep. I love my X!

Honestly, I hate videos like that. It's those videos that keep people like my friends wife terrified of wheeling. She won't even get in his Heep if she knows it will leave the pavement. Because its going to flip over.

Meh scared people will be terrified no matter what. My mother in law is that way, she wont ride in the front seat with anyone when we go offroad bc if she can see whats coming she panics. Its REALLY REALLY annoying but thankfully she is slowly getting better. Her youngest daughter (my 13yr old sister in law) was worse until I put the fear of gobble into her on one trip to the point she was crying...... once she realized we survived without a scratch she loves wheeling now and begs to go along.
