His dad works with my father in law, his dad bought it for him for his 16th bday, his reasoning was its 4x4 so it gets around in the winter, it's fairly safe.. If he gets in a accident he won't get hurt, lol, it has 460 big block and gets 8mpg so he won't drive it far..(kid has to pay for his own gas)

Idk what kinda chicks you hang out with but that thing would not be a chick magnet round here. I have a personal hatred for those that put car bodies on truck frames. Its gross and is almost always done in a really craptacular fashion.
Also every truck out there on larger than 20" rims and mud terrains belongs in this thread. The only reason 20s dont belong here as well is because of the huge 50" tire sizes only using a 20" rim.

Is that a gas burner thats sunk?! No reason white smoke without ANY black smoke would come out of a diesel! So as gas burner with dual stacks?! Ahahahaha

You know its deep when he sat that rear axle in the mud, you can see it at the end when they pull him out.

ya agreed they couldve built it differently but I like that style dodge especially the 2500s ( built 2500 would be the way to go lol)

ya its a gas burner, I had a buddy that drove a 7.3l powerstroke w/ bio-diesel and it would white smoke when you nailed it

ALot of those mud trucks run stacks on gas burners... keeps the exhaust up away from the water

That makes sense but I still wouldn't do that to a gas burner lol, its almost like a diesel wannabe.

"Hey buddy why don't you use your rav4 to pull him out?!"
"I would but I don't have recovery points or enough torque too!"

^Seriously?^ No part of those Rav 4's should be anywhere near mud like that...LOL They need to stick to dirt roads and such.

There isn't a single part about this that looks like a good idea. Seriously.

Especially 1:50-2:00

Correction: I guess 3:45-3:50 isn't terrible.

That is just crazy and incredibly unsafe.

I think that looks like one hell of a great challenge. Good teamwork, requires fundamental off-roading skills, and clever use the materials and tools that are at your disposal. Sure, you could have a vehicle fall on you, but sometimes personal safety has to be sacrificed in the name of getting the job done and winning. I'd like to see more challenges like that, but in our nanny state of a country, it could never be allowed.

It's definitely got it's fair share of challenge, and I agree about having to make it work with what they have on hand - but there's a safer way it could be done. Not only did they have to worry about their own team's rig falling on them, they had to worry about the others as well.

It would be fun to watch, and definitely fun to try a safer version, i.e. one team at a time racing against the clock.
