Silly Jeep / 4x4 Thread

A manager from one of our stores sent me this picture and asked when I was going to do this to my Xterra. My first thought was NOOOOOOOOO! My second was wait, this isn't an Xterra. To me this looks like a Pathfinder with gen 1 front bumper, get 1.5 grill and hood, and gen 2 fender bulges. He found it somewhere on Facebook so I don't know if it's real or a Photoshop job but whatever it is, I bet (hope) it's the only one like it.

Oh.....oh my......I......I have no words.

Like any build, just because you have a pile of parts that are all good individually doesn't mean you'll make an improvement when you put them all together.

Those aren't even 2nd gen fenders, the rear ones are perma-attached, the front fenders wouldn't match up with that front end...those are custom flares/pockets

I wondered if they had been cut from a gen 2 and welded on or custom fabbed. Custom makes more sense because it appears they also have the body line in them that wouldn't have been present on Xterra flares.

You just found the rare and elusive lowerd pathterra, it is a close but distinctive sub species, and quite skiddish so getting photos of them in the wild is very erratic.

That makes me go "cool" due to the amount of time put into it. But also upsets me like the green supercharged lowered Xterra....

Well, the Xterra made it on The Chive.. But for the wrong reasons..

I can't figure out what's wrong though.. They are driving an Xterra and to get where they need to go it's only a short off road session away..

Riding 4 wheelers yesterday just outside estes park colorado , we were on some all purpose trails for horses, hikers, atvs, dirtbikes, and ohv's. This guy had a really nice land rover set up, v8 and all. He laid it down on the drivers side coming down a hill to fast. Drivers front tire flexed out off a rock that was a bigger drop than he thought and it just laid over on the drivers door. Took him awhile to get it back up on its feet, then it wouldnt turn over.

the rims are a little big for my liking but I actually like the rest of it. It's different and I think the color is kind of cool. Price is definitely too high though.
