This thread seems perfect for me since all of my vehicles are "other vehicles"
First I had a 85 Bronco II when I was 13 and the plan was to fix it up by the time I was 16... that went down the tubes because this truck was toast, rust everywhere, brake system could not be fixed, etc etc. Still was a lot of fun to bomb around in on our farm. I may or may not have slightly bent a shock launching it out of a ditch once...
By the time I was turning 16, we got a fullsize 1995 Bronco and I did the typical high school stuff. Headlights, taillights, mud tires, exhaust, and a bumping system, this is what it looked like when I was getting rid of it. I still kick my butt for getting rid of it.
The whole reason I sold that Bronco was because I picked up a 1995 Mustang GT and needed to pay off the loan on it. 4.10 gears, lowered a touch, but basically stock. It really wasn't worth what I paid but I've put way WAY too much money into it. I put a sick interior into it, 2001 Cobra seats, Ford Racing FR500 steering wheel and Bullit pedals, nice Kenwood headunit, Memphis Audio components, 1 lowly sub, the interior was probably the best part of it for the longest time. I threw a Cobra bumper on it and headlights and had it painted after I graduated:
Then I traded that car in for something more reliable to go back and forth to school, a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. Fully loaded, really nice truck, but lord have mercy did I hate it. 11mpg no matter what, no power to get out of it's own way, and bigger than it looked... I hated it and traded it off after a few months:
And I traded it for my 2005 SRT4. Got good MPG and was the fastest car I had ever driven (still is technically) so we swapped my truck for it and I've been driving it ever since. Done a little bit of work to it, but this is how it looks today:
After I got my SRT4, my 95 came back up for sale at the same dealer where I got the SRT so we managed to snag it back up for $1500 less than the previous dealer gave us for it with it only missing my 4ch amp for my stereo. So I had it to play with and put it in a few shows and then I discovered autocross and now I've gutted it, sold my Cobra seats for a seat of Corbeau fixed backs and driven the absolute snot out of it. It's sitting at home needing a lot of work now. Motor needs rebuilt (over 180k miles on the stocker now), tires are shot from locking them up and smoking them at autocross, and I want to do a lot more work to it to be more competitive. Here's a nice shot of it doing what it does best before the Corbeaus:
Oh, did I fail to mention my 67 Mustang? I got this as a graduation gift. I haven't done to much to it yet besides throwing the staggered KMC Nova wheels on it but I've got a 1970 Torino 302 thats been freshened up and I'm looking to finish it and throw a 5-speed behind it to drop in. It has a budget performance suspension from a large restomod company, 302, 4-speed, and I've gotten my Kenwood headunit and 2 of my Memphis Audio speakers in it... she's a long term project but eventually it'll be bagged out on a RideTech suspension setup and be slung around on the autocross course. She's my baby.
