It's 501 Signal Mountain Road and called the Signal Mountain WalMart but it isn't actually on the mountain. What back roads are you thinking about?
Just asking because if they involve Hwy 27 at some point you might meet up with akinc in Dayton and convoy on down. If you can call two Xterras a convoy.

Sooo... I left work today and filled the X up, and I noticed it was pretty slow to start after the fill up... Then when I got home I stopped to check the mail and the X wouldn't start afterward, so I had to roll start it. Now its sitting here dead... Not sure if its the battery or the starter. The battery is a optima red top that I bought in Jan of 2012, and the starter is the original one... 12 years old, and 209,500 miles...
I'll know in the morning if I can get my wife to jump start it for me...

No need to stay home even if it rains. The trails that get bad when it rains are closed. Even if you do and up needing help here and there, that's not being a burden, its part of four wheeling. Come on out and play. We'll take good care of you. Besides, with some of the trails closed we'll have plenty of time to take it easy.

Hardly ever. It does on holiday weekends but normally you'll see some motorcycles and ATVs, maybe a Heep or two but it won't be crowded.
One more note about mud if it rains. You WILL NOT get buried in a puddle. All of the mud holes there have pretty solid bottoms and the trails are maintained so that they don't get too deep. The only mud issue would be on some short sections of hills so no worries about jumping in water to hook up a strap.

I've got a GoPro and a Sony HD Handycam I'll be bringing. I'll also have my camera to get some nice pictures if nobody minds slow progress while I'm out taking pictures. I'm sure if anyone hasn't done much wheeling they'd like to have a good off road shot of their X.

BTW, I just put a new Academy-brand scope on my rifle...I plan on sighting it in Sunday morning, or if there's daylight left over Saturday when we finish. It's a POS scope, but it'll work.

That load of garbage everyone sells you about a good scope has to be expensive is bull. I bought a Tasco scope at Academy for my Grendel and @ 300yds I put 3 rounds in a quarter.
