Sooo I got the clutch installed on Saturday. I finally finished it up at about 5pm then I found out that my clutch master cylinder was leaking...yay!
Me and my buddy came back to my place and loaded my 84 Trans AM on his trailer and took it back to work.. I then pulled the X out of the shop and left it running with the lights on and aimed at the trailer while we loaded out other buddy's 67 mustang. I then left and drive about 6 miles on the highway when I got to my wife's subway and pressed the clutch peddle to show down, the engine died, the temp gauge pegged, and it started steaming like crazy... I was very upset...
I let it sit for about 2 hours while I helped my wife close the Subway then came out and added coolant. I got about half way through pouring in the second gallon and just started hearing it pouring back out on the ground... my first thought was oh crap I've busted a head or the block and ruined my motor... but I started looking around with my flashlight and found that I had actually broken the plastic inlet line of the heater core. I left the X at Subway over the weekend and had it towed back to work on Mon. I bypassed the heater core, installed a new clutch master, and changed the oil with full synthetic and synthetic Lucas oil stabilizer. The X seems be doing fine and I think I may have gotten lucky and not done any damage to the motor.
Anyway... I do have to work on Sat but I'm gonna try to leave about 1 or 1:30, so I should be able to meet y'all at PC around 2 to 2:30... I probably won't camp, but I'll be back up there on Sunday, and might bring a few friends from work with their 4 Wheelers.
Also I did go up to PC with my buddy in his new Jeep this past Friday, and the gate at Haley Rd was open, we drove down crossed the creek, then turned around and drive back out. it wasn't bad at all, and I was hopping the rain would hold off...
