Smells like isopropyl alcohol and tastes a bit syrupy but it's getting better as I drink it (100 proof). I think I'll be ready to take a leak in the front yard perty soon. Happy Valentine's Day to me.

Had two jars of this Wednesday Night.... OMG

My wife bought it at a nearby grocery store out here in the mountains east of ABQ. They have a pretty nice liquor department that beats a lot of the shops in town. I'm not sure which shops might carry it in Taos but it should be available throughout the state. State law forces all liquor distribution through two certified distributors and all the shops use those same two distributors. If you make it down to Santa Fe, I'm sure there are a at least a few shops that carry it.

Feelin' the Wild Turkey Rare Breed tonight while finishing up some stainless steel shackles for NMTerras. The more sips I take, the more I think I should suprise him with a set of bumper brackets for his new Strap N Crap.

That would be awesome!

I will also use it to hold me upright when I drink in the wild.

Wow. A half a jar would have left me laid out on the garage floor.

I really liked it, it's not as smooth and refined(aged) as the stuff that I usually drink but it had great character. I think I'm going to head down the store now and see if they have other varieties. A friend told me that she liked Apple Pie the best.

Luskusowa potato vodka, v8 and red Bull. Not bad, just using mixers from our fridge until more supplies come.

If you are looking for a good vodka, look at this potato vodka. Has the kick, and not the hangover. Plus it's really cheap. 12 a fifth, 22 a half here.

Give it a shot if you are feeling like going out on a limb

EDIT: This mix tastes like medicine. It's not good..

Double edit : now it tastes good again.. Weird.

I just talked to the liquor department manager at Triangle grocery and he said that his rep told him that Kelley's has been buying up all of their stock "as it comes off the plane". If Quarters doesn't have it, you may want to call a couple of Kelley's stores.

Also, that's not a workbench... it's a shrine for metrology(measurement) geeks. When you lift off the protective wood cover, you expose it's inner greatness:

It's a 500+ pound slab of precision machined granite that is flat to within .0004" across it's entire surface. It's great for measuring flatness of machine components(like engine heads), roundness, straightness of shafts and a bazillion other things. It's a machinist's/inspector's best friend. Old time machinists used to say that they were taking their finished parts "to the rock" when it was time to measure/inspect their product.

Rob, Tyrell and I are all measurement geeks so instead of bellying up to the bar, we belly up to the rock instead.

Been drinking wine recently, odd for me. And dangerous too. My drinking breaks down something like this 90% beer 9% liquor and about 1% wine. So I tend to drink everything like beer-fast. That's why I stay away from most other stuff now lol.
