I just noticed in the past week that my driver side rear sits .5” lower than the passenger side. With a full tank or empty tank - doesn’t matter. Nothing looks wrong underneath. Just one leaf spring settling more than the other?

Ditto. I guess now I can stop trying to figure out what’s wrong with mineI just noticed in the past week that my driver side rear sits .5” lower than the passenger side. Yea can always lower one tire to level it out..Well then. Thanks to all!
The first gens have their own strengths over the second gens. Second gens have some strengths over the first gens. For those who have had both gens how much of a step back is a first gen from a second? May have a first gen I could get a deal on.. I'm sure this fits in the thread LOL just thinking out loud
^ Definitely true, it's got less power, and is significantly slower.Less power, less room, less electronic nanny systems, easier to SAS, about the same tech wise I think, better colors.
The indestructible drive train is one of the big reasons why I bought an 03.Indestructible drive line. Slower. Smaller. Not as big of an aftermarket for parts. SAS is the ultimate goal if you're going to wheel it. If you keep the IFS be prepared to fight with the steering.
Do you need any amperage? Or does that thing just need 12v and it has relays and stuff?Ok. For those of you with second gens, this is for you. Got a 6 button auxbeam switch panel that I need to install into my truck this weekend. The power wire for the switch panel that sits in the cab.....what do you guys recommend I tap into that's only powered when the vehicle is on? There's lots of ways I could do this. I could use an inline switch, and flip it on. I could tap into the power. I think I have a single 5-pin switch laying around that I'm not currently using. I might just do that, and turn it on when I need power. I've got to get it in this weekend, as I'm going to use it to toggle the charge for my DC charger in the trailer.
Not much amperage. Its just to turn the controller panel on and give it lights. I would guess it's likely less than 3A.Do you need any amperage? Or does that thing just need 12v and it has relays and stuff?
That's not a bad idea. Now that you mention it, so are both of the outlets next to the oem switches. Maybe I'll just tap into one of those. The cigarette lighter inside the center console arm rest is keyed. Easy wire access to the dash.
Check that. Because mine are always hot. That's not a bad idea. Now that you mention it, so are both of the outlets next to the oem switches. Maybe I'll just tap into one of those.
This is what I'm installing, fyi:
6/8 Gang LED Switch Panel, Off Road Light Controller
Auxbeam 6/8 Gang LED Switch Panel Light Bar Controller Light Bar Switches Off Road Light Controllerauxbeam.com
Mine are only hot when the vehicle is on.Check that. Because mine are always hot.
Yeah, there's lots of keyed power in the IPDM box. Get a schematic and find one.Mine are only hot when the vehicle is on.
Another question. Is there any place under the hood that I could tap into instead of under the dash? It looks like the power for the switch panel actually comes from the relay box, so I would have to run a wire through the firewall to power the switches, then run the control wire back through the firewall. I mean, if I have to, so be it, but I'd prefer to have everything coming from the engine bay, as it's much easier to deal with.
Super wierd. Nissan be like that tho...Mine are only hot when the vehicle is on.
I'm having trouble locating a good schematic, but I'll keep digging.Yeah, there's lots of keyed power in the IPDM box. Get a schematic and find one.
Seriously. It's not even the same between years/models. Whatevs though. I'll figure it out.Super wierd. Nissan be like that tho...
Havent tested the 15 yet, but the 06 has one always hot, one keyed. I was just assuming thats how it was always done.Super wierd. Nissan be like that tho...
Maybe that's the difference. I have one always hot and the other one was an aux port (because upgraded audio system) its now two always hot USB ports.Havent tested the 15 yet, but the 06 has one always hot, one keyed. I was just assuming thats how it was always done.
See, and my aux port is inside the center console. But I'm also a '13 Frontier, so maybe that's part of what's different?Maybe that's the difference. I have one always hot and the other one was an aux port (because upgraded audio system) its now two always hot USB ports.
Same on my '06.Havent tested the 15 yet, but the 06 has one always hot, one keyed. I was just assuming thats how it was always done.
Im gonna have to check the 15, as it has 2 on the dash, and 1 in the console by the aux/usb port, but I havent needed enough yet to track what is powered when...See, and my aux port is inside the center console. But I'm also a '13 Frontier, so maybe that's part of what's different?
I'm mostly wondering what would qualify as an "invalid vehicle"...Since when does Americas/Discount Tire require a ‘valid vehicle’ to check out?
I bet they’ve had an influx of returns or damage claims due to incorrect sizing so if you buy anything other than stock size you check a disclaimer box acknowledging they may not fit.I'm mostly wondering what would qualify as an "invalid vehicle"...
That sort of makes sense. I mean... Have you met people? They're DUMB....I bet they’ve had an influx of returns or damage claims due to incorrect sizing so if you buy anything other than stock size you check a disclaimer box acknowledging they may not fit.
Sounds like a pretty good bet.Ok, so my 15 has 1 plug on dash and 1 in console tied to key. Second on dash has no power ever, so previous owner probably blew the fuse... but Im guessing it is always powered, or all of them would likely have been out.
