The era of the Van returns.

One advantage to propane is that we can still use them here during a fireban. Gas is ok, charcoal is out. Likely mostly due to too many idiots not paying attention to fire... but what can you do.I light my coals, prep the food while the coals get ready, close up the grill long enough to get the grates warm, brush them, then cook. Never owned a propane grill and don't see myself switching.
Only got 4 charcoal grills and two charcoal/wood smokers at the moment.
Never seen a total fire ban. Around here at best we get an open fire ban which doesn't apply to grillsOne advantage to propane is that we can still use them here during a fireban. Gas is ok, charcoal is out. Likely mostly due to too many idiots not paying attention to fire... but what can you do.

I've got to get a couple new ones for our house too.Just spent $400 on smoke/CO alarms. House was built in the 60's, so no hardwire. And the two there look original. Had to get 9 of the effers.
