Move canceled for today. The company I hired flaked badly.
They called yesterday to confirm, but I couldn't take the call. I called back 10 min later and had to leave a message. They were supposed to be at me house between 8 and 9. At 930 i finally get ahold of dispatch and all I get is a "lady nights job ran late, they're all coming in". At 1030, I get a "when they wake up, you'll get your crew. Somewhere between 11 and 2". I demand a much lesser rate at this point. Mrs managed to find another crew for tomorrow around this point. They finally respond to my cancel demand around 1130.
Moving sucks, and hiring a crew was supposed to make it easier and less stressful.

Been teaching my son a lot about work ethic lately. He wants to get a job so bad. Well son, here’s some marketable job skills for a 13 year old. If he keeps it up, he’s going to have a real advantage in a few years. Kids around here seem to be allergic to work.
