@TerryD, what extra things does @Xterrorista need to put my 226 in to replace his C200? U-Bolts (obviously), driveshaft?

If it's lifted, his rear shaft should be OK. I'm still running my C200K shaft. At factory ride height and/or no extended bump stops he will need a Auto P4X shaft.

He needs the wheel speed sensors and plugs for the locker and locker engaged switch. All the brake parts interchange except the parking brake backing plate so don't bend those. I would put on the aftermarket brake hoses as well while I had it apart
So it's lifted ~2".. 5100s front n back, 2" front lift coils and nisstec 2" shackles on the rear at full lift setting. I plan to put the 1" OME lift leaves (sitting in the X) on when we're putting the 226 in.

Would you know part #'s of the misc items I'll need before hitting the liquor store on the way to Primes..?

Mom came to town a cpl weeks ago and I gave her the keys to the X to drive in the snow. She was horrified by the brakes. I knew it could use pads and when shopping I bought the Raybestos EHT pads and rotors all 'round.

Then remembered your axles. Seeing how you've built a beast with Titan stuffs I assume I'll get your full axles with brakes and all..no?

i just ask as I gotta get these boxes of parts off the living room floor and don't wanna pack 'em too deep..

I'm afraid I don't. My axle had that stuff. I specifically asked the wrecking yard to leave them on the old axle.

You probably need to order extended bump stops for the rear. I REALLY like my Timbren bumps. They're so smooth you don't know when you've hit them.

I learned to weld with oxy-acetalyne (sp?, I think same as ‘stick’ welding?) in an art class almost 20 years ago. I wish it was something I had a chance to continue doing since then.
I grew up on a farm so a certain amount of welding was required. We had the basic Lincoln AC225 tombstone and used the crap out of it. We also had torches.

I bought myself a MIG several years ago and it's been really handy to have. I also had a Lincoln AC/DC 225/175 stick welder but never used it. I sold it to help fund the TIG welder. I've wanted to be able to weld aluminum and stainless for a long time.

For the plugs, you'll have to find a totaled X, Fronty or Titan with the locker and cut them off the harness with about 6" of pigtail.

The speed sensors are EXPENSIVE new so I'd check bone yards. Xs and Frontys with the M226 all have them. That includes the manual transmission base package units so they might be easier to find.

I for one support your efforts and your eventual business venture in custom fabrication work for local Xterra enthusiasts!

You talking about the wiring plug on the diff for the locker? If so, mine broke at the plug. I replaced it with a waterproof connector from Amazon.

Absolutely. Just put PowerStop extremes on all 4 corners last year. They're loud but they stop great.

@Xterrorista mine will be 100% complete. I just replaced the driver's side ABS sensor, brakes are in good shape, outer wheel bearings were just done like 10k ago and I have another spare wheel bearing to go with it. It'll even have parking brake cables. The only thing you'll need is the wiring for the locker since I still need mine for the Titan axle.

Some guy and I were talking at a jobsite the other day, and the conversation went toward SUV’s and the whole overlanding thing. I had mentioned I own a 2015 Xterra, and the guy immediately went on a tirade about how he hates Nissans, how he will never own one, and that their quality is garbage. He then went on to say he hopes Nissan goes out of business because “that’ll teach them to make a (insert favorite expletive here) junk car.”

Well, normally I just smile and nod, but I was feeling a bit feisty, so I asked him how the families of every Nissan employee would feel if the company went under so he would feel better. He blinked at me stupidly. I also asked what makes Nissans such horrible vehicles. He said they “just get unreliable after you get over 150,000 miles.” Huh, “how so,” I asked. (I’m paraphrasing here). He told me he owned a Frontier, and he had to replace the radiator at 205K miles. I said that it doesn’t sound too bad. 200K is a good run without any major overhauls. He said he bought a Jeep and never had that problem. I asked him how many miles on it, and he said 130K. I told him in about 50,000 miles, he might need a new radiator. “Why?” He asked. I told him I replaced the radiator in my XJ at about 180,000 miles. And I replaced my rear axle at 217K, and replaced my suspension at 150K, and had to replace the rear shocks again at 180K because they wore out. Oh, and I replaced the driver side door lock at 200K-ish, had to replace the coil pack due to a misfire around 205K, relaced the unit bearings and front axle unjoints as well as pinion seals, tie rods, track bar (insert death wobble here), among other things. I told him my Jeep was so unreliable that I was always replacing a thing or two every other year. He said, “sounds like maintenance.” Oh but by your words, replacing a radiator after 200K makes a vehicle unreliable. He said that Nissans just get unreliable. “At what point,” I asked, “do they become unreliable?” My Xterra has 82,000 miles and I’ve already replaced the air filter. He had nothing to say. Just blinked stupidly again, said he needed to get something out of his truck, and walked off.

I got my first dose of the vaccine last Friday. Scheduled to get my second dose in a week. It'll be nice to not have to worry so much about this damn virus.

100%. I run it on my servers, on my work computers, on a few of my home boxes. Network gear is OpenBSD. Windows should be renamed GameOS...

Running several Linux boxes here! My firewall is a celeron box running pfsense.
Storage server is an i7-920 running proxmox with a 24tb zfs array, and I've got plex, radar, sonar, transmission all running in docker containers on an Ubuntu server build, running on an old hp microserver!

I had to give up Linux on my editing rig though. I discovered resolve on Linux can't read aac audio stored in mp4 files due to a licensing issue. I'm not transcoding all my footage (that would eat up tons of usable space), so I just run windows on that machine.

Also, thanks to my new job paying me what I'm worth, and getting stimulus money..... Costco had a great deal on fridges, so I just bought a 42qt 12v fridge.

Should be here on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

I've had both doses of the Phiser shot. After the second dose I spent the weekend putting down flooring. I don't know which one made me feel like poop....

LOL- The Bill Gates tracking chip...
The first injection is the chip, which then propagates through your body, attaching nanoprobes to your DNA. The second injection is the activation sequence needed to convert your body into the Reptilian aliens, which are at war with the benevolent alien federation led by Donald Trump to save the world. The Reptilians are here to destroy the world and harvest adrenochrome from children, then feed them to celebrity pedophiles and everyone who visited Eptstein Island.
