I don't understand how insurance has anything to do with it. Just give it to people.

The insurance company is incentivizing people at work to get it by lowering their monthly premiums. My wife and I got our vaccinations for free. As far as I know, they aren’t charging people for it. But a lot of folks are resistant to getting to getting it for (insert reason here). Utah actually has a very high amount of people getting vaccinated compared to other states. But back to what I’m saying. Lowering monthly premiums might just be enough to sway some folks who are otherwise on the fence. My coworker said, “I’ll get it six times if they keep lowering my premiums.” I didn’t do it for the premiums. I got my first dose before the email was sent. I got mine because my wife is extremely high risk, and I’m a field service tech who sees a lot more people than your average Joe during the year. And believe me. I’ve met all kinds.

So this thing is happening 20 minutes from my front door. I'm a little old for 4 day Rock fest but might get tickets for the hell of it.

I will definitely be there for at least part of it. I hope this isn't a complete cluster. A few years back there was a concert festival (Virginia Chili Cookoff if I remember correctly) that was almost a complete scam. Deposit checks bounced and some bands dropped out. Other bands demanded cash before playing (due to bounced checks) and they were literally sending runners out to the parking gates to collect parking cash to pay bands. Then more checks bounced afterward. The "side stage" of the show was literally an open barn door (Woodstock Fairgrounds) and it not only sounded like crap, but half the band was in the barn, half out, and nobody could see. The guy that put it on was religious and didn't announce ahead of time alcohol would be banned, so concessions made almost no money. Then they come around afterwards asking bands how much merch they sold, because they wanted to take a 10% cut (not in the original contract, but a "requested amendment" sent afterwards and laughed off), so they could take money from the bands to pay other bands.

This whole "sell tickets now before the lineup is announced" posture made me think immediately of the other one.

Got my 2nd stab today. Yay!
Got my second last Monday My wife got her second Friday.

I truly do not understand anyone's resistance to getting it.... Particularly the MRNA versions. It's like giving your body a detailed book to learn from rather than giving it a near dead version of the virus (like so many of the vaccines we've ALL been given for our whole lives).

It just goes to show just how badly the school system has failed us. People are so science-illiterate.

Hefty fab skids ordered, MaxTrax ordered, rear diff ARB cover next. Pretty excited the kids are getting of age to enjoy some more extensive camping trips.

In the last year or so I've done more work to the X to get it more trail worthy since I purchased it in 2009.

Which probably only means I'll total it en route to the grocery store next week.

This is the 3rd or 4th year the same people have put this on. Just a new venue every year

Tried out the awning room today. Love it. It’s perfect - will be used in screen mode for a bug-free place to eat if needed, as a changing room before heading up into the RTT, and if needed we can fit two cots or sleeping pads in there as well (also has a floor).

Dam Jay , you might have to upgrade x 2 your suspension to carry all this stuff around !! Now I understand why you armored the bottom before this adding all this stuff ;) You'd probably benefit from a 1" body lift also.

Yeah, that’s actually a legit concern. I’m on stock springs that were already flattened and put in an AAL, but last week when we went camping then off-roading the next day with the full load I bottomed out the rear a couple times, and with the stock bump stops it’s a pretty jarring experience. I’m also worried my wimpy leaf springs are prematurely wearing out my new shocks. I’m debating between General Springs HD with the same AAL or just OME or ADO springs.

A body lift or more suspension lift would be nice for headroom under the awning, but even at my height getting kayaks up on the roof is already a royal pain in the butt (especially after being on the water all day with tired arms). I really don’t want to push it up higher.

I've heard not so great things about the OME spring packs. Alcan would probably be better. Can build you a custom pack to handle the load but not lift you any higher.

Same. I’ve heard the OME are really noisy. The ADO performance packs are $785 shipped vs Alcan at $998 shipped. Both 2” lift (matching my AAL) and 500 pounds.

I went Alcan last year (+600lbs / 2" lift) and have been very happy with it. ADO seems like a great company so if you want that route I'd be interested to hear your feedback. ADO has some YouTube videos out going over all their leaf packs if you haven't seen them.

Well damn. I bought the OME 1" lift packs to put on. I got the pair for 405$ local from 4WP. I hope they don't sound like Fred Sanfords junk yard truck..

Might want to check out All Dogs Off-road, they were putting out some leaf packs and misc other items for the X suspension. I'm happy with their front coil springs and was considering thier leaf packs when I saw the OMEs in sale.

A couple people here have their leaves, maybe they'll chime in. They've got awesome customer support and tech help.
