I just looked it up. I knew he had a son that died, I didnt know he was four or how he died. I gotta admit, I laughed and then felt really really bad, then laughed again. The one about the death of his son? Don't know the name as he's not in my wheelhouse.

I plan on doing shocks and tie rods myself. Hub bearings I want done, as I'm not confident in my bearing packing skills, and the ball joints require a press and other tools that I don't have the means to work with. You can rent tools to do the work yourself and save buckets of money.
Cocaine is a helluva drug.Quinten Tarantino looks like shiat now.
No. He's just old and fat.Cocaine is a helluva drug.
Took me a second to work out what the ufck you were on about.Picked up a Lyman digital powder system along with a case tumbler and a couple other items today. It was ab expensive day. Also ran new circuit in my workshop area of the house to increase bullet making abilities

That being said, depending on what my usual mechanic quotes me, plans may change.
I also don't have a reasonable place to do it. And it's gonna be triple digits for the next week. Not gonna be fun.
I've seen those but don't do it often enough to feel like it's worth it vs just cutting it in by hand. I've done more wheel bearings this year than the last 10 combined.Yeah there are plenty of reasons why you wouldn’t want to do it yourself. For me, it’s a question of what is my time worth to me.
You can rent tools to get the ball joints out easy enough. I’ve changed plenty of them in gravel driveways throughout my life.
As for bearings, well, let me let you in on a little secret:

Every summer, we gotta do trailer maintenance at work. I bought this little guy to speed up the process of inspecting and repacking bearings.

I got it.This better for you?

Oh I understand it in a shop setting or if I did it more often.Trailer maintenance cuts into my efficiency numbers because it’s non-chargeable work. This is fast and there is less time spent cleaning up afterward. Means I spend less time dicking around at the shop and more time taking care of customer’s equipment.
Would it not be more logical to just do the whole control arm? Just get rid of those 20 year old rubber bushings while you're at it?I plan on doing shocks and tie rods myself. This is the Nissan way. Just replace the entire LCA. Faster. Easier. New everything.Would it not be more logical to just do the whole control arm? Just get rid of those 20 year old rubber bushings while you're at it?
True. But the front bearings on a 1st Gen are a little more complicated. Not hard. Just complicated.Heck, unit bearings are the easiest.
