Nice try, you and BigJim may disagree but Kirk is still the dance emoji winner!

It's hot. I'm drinking and making burnt ends. Was working on a quad but ran into more issues. I think these are gonna be a real challenge....

Also, it's hot.

The one about the death of his son? Don't know the name as he's not in my wheelhouse.
I just looked it up. I knew he had a son that died, I didnt know he was four or how he died. I gotta admit, I laughed and then felt really really bad, then laughed again.

BTW "Tears in Heaven"

On second thought thats kinda brutal, and Im still laughing. gobble Im a jerk.

@kirk. ufck that murder bear event. This is what it took. And it took an hour of ufcking grinding over and over again.

Absolutely the worst time I've had with this game.

They had the big yearly cruise in Roanoke yesterday. Blondie and I took the Camaro down. My buddy brought out his Ranchero too.

We had a great time! Lots of awesome cars out riding around. I did a LOT of tire spinning! Kaylee started out mad I made her come with me and by the time we made it half way down the strip she was loving it. I need lower gears and a pos-unit. One wheel peels suck. But most of the time it spins both.

Took Gamora in for an alignment this morning.... They wouldn't do it, as it needs new lower ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, has loose hub bearings, and needs new shocks.

Was quoted 1800 for everything.

Looks like new tires are gonna have to wait.

You can rent tools to do the work yourself and save buckets of money.
I plan on doing shocks and tie rods myself. Hub bearings I want done, as I'm not confident in my bearing packing skills, and the ball joints require a press and other tools that I don't have the means to work with.

That being said, depending on what my usual mechanic quotes me, plans may change.

I also don't have a reasonable place to do it. And it's gonna be triple digits for the next week. Not gonna be fun.

Picked up a Lyman digital powder system along with a case tumbler and a couple other items today. It was ab expensive day. Also ran new circuit in my workshop area of the house to increase bullet making abilities

Yeah there are plenty of reasons why you wouldn’t want to do it yourself. For me, it’s a question of what is my time worth to me.

You can rent tools to get the ball joints out easy enough. I’ve changed plenty of them in gravel driveways throughout my life.

As for bearings, well, let me let you in on a little secret:

Lisle 34550 Handy Packer Bearing Packer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002NYDYO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_uZR6NiMVucmzG

Every summer, we gotta do trailer maintenance at work. I bought this little guy to speed up the process of inspecting and repacking bearings.

I've seen those but don't do it often enough to feel like it's worth it vs just cutting it in by hand. I've done more wheel bearings this year than the last 10 combined.

Trailer maintenance cuts into my efficiency numbers because it’s non-chargeable work. This is fast and there is less time spent cleaning up afterward. Means I spend less time dicking around at the shop and more time taking care of customer’s equipment.

Oh I understand it in a shop setting or if I did it more often.

I plan on doing shocks and tie rods myself. Hub bearings I want done, as I'm not confident in my bearing packing skills, and the ball joints require a press and other tools that I don't have the means to work with.

Would it not be more logical to just do the whole control arm? Just get rid of those 20 year old rubber bushings while you're at it?

The wheel bearings are pretty easy too. The first Gen uses traditional style bearings instead of unit bearings, right?
