Isn't there a grp going to Hardrock on the 18th? I reallly want to try and get there for once. Haven't been riding in forever, uhhg.

I have too much flex with too short of a driveshaft. Keep breaking the center pin in the cv section. Gonna stretch the front when I go to a 60 front. Stretch the front and add a divorced 205 for a doubler. Shorter rear driveshaft and longer front. Should end in a happy medium.

Rebuilt my coilovers. Not many pics cause I had gloves on with shock oil on them.
Started out with these. 2 12" fox coilovers and one that was galled up.
Driver side : 60 psi of nitrogen and no oil
Passenger side : 10 psi of nitrogen and a cup of oil

I forgot to get an after picture. Whoops. But that spot is gone now. Can't even notice it was there.

Stripped the paint off.

Powder coating!

This was the reason they were being rebuilt. This side had 60 psi of nitrogen and no oil in it.

Finish product.

Thanks everyone, she's nice but she's not where I want her yet. Still need a front 60. I'm always easy on the throttle because of the 44 and the 37's. Also want to get rid of the calmini arms and shock hoops. Get some 14 or 16" travel coilovers for the front next. Throw the 12's in the rear.

Soooo if you get rid of that front 44 and the calmini stuff. maybe we can work out a deal? My X would like that very much. I plan on staying 33's or maybe 35's so it would be perfect for me. =P Not to mention getting the setup from you it would be like 90% together and ready to go!

Not much has been going on with Annabelle lately, broke 4 bolts on my driveshaft, took out the shift linkage, fixed that with a new linkage. Get pics tomorrow since it's late. Put in a battery I had sitting around from a boat since my battery died. Then, I got something to start a small project..
Current Johnny Joints on left. New Ballistic fab 3" Ultra duty joints on right.

Right now 37's. I'll run the 37's till these wear out or I find a good deal on some 40's. Still need to sell some other parts to afford the rebuild for the dana 60 arb.

Hour and a half in line just to run an easy course. Sat around till after 4 when vendors started letting out, then it was off to hardrock for a night ride with a bunch of cherokee guys and yota guys. Fun night though, next year it's going to be a night ride saturday, then go run the courses sunday.

Got bored. Time to put in a second transfer case. Picked up a nice little 205 that's been sitting in the dirt for 10 years for free.

Inside is pretty clean, one set of gears may be toast but I'll run them till they break and buy a lomax case and 3:1 gears.

Rust isn't that bad on the inside, luckily I found it filled with gear oil.

Then I went to work on the outside.
Before wire brushing:

After:

Threw some Ospho on it to sit over night and tomorrow I'll clean it up a little more and make sure mating surfaces are good and go pick up a cheapo gasket set and some seals. Shift rail also needs to be modified to run the twin stick for front digs, didn't get to play with it tonight, ran out of time. Plan is to run the slip yoke and attach the u joint to the case, grab a 205 mounting bracket off Behemoth Driveline unless I can find the material to make my own, I've got the ability to make a cable shifter so that'll be easy. Then I've got a buddy that can tig the TX10 after I cut it and I should be set, going to remake a mount for the TX10 I think, since I won't need a cross member on both transfer cases, just need to figure out a new skid plate set-up.

Painted! Think of the color is a mix between the two. Sadly I can't get a good picture of it. Tomorrow when it's all together I'll try to wheel it out into the sun for a better pic. Purple Casing with Silver housings and Black Yokes, they're getting powder coated tomorrow or wednesday.

Also picked up a rear mount to make my life easier for $55. Just needs a cross member to get welded and bolted to.

Hopefully I can get it all in by turkey day to go wheeling the weekend after! Yay for a 3.9592:1! Now I just need to find some 4:1 gears for the tx10...

Thanks, hoping I can be done by turkey day. I wanna wheel again!

Case is done, waiting game now for my Yoke and Twin stick boots to come in friday, mount still hasn't shipped but I think it may ship tomorrow since my order processed this morning.

1350 Yoke so I can run a 1350 shaft again in the rear.

Twin stick boots! For $23 I couldn't justify making my own.

Mounts will be here tomorrow and xterra will be taken apart sunday for mock up.

Mounts are in!

Transfer case is ready for mock up tomorrow! Maybe even have it in on a permanent crossmember by night fall. Just need to find someone to tig the old case and need to make new front and rear shafts.

I got screwed today.. Tried taking off radius arms to switch them on the axle so I could clear the tires when I moved the mount farther out.. No spanner wrench to take the coilovers off since I can get the body jacked up high enough to take them off.. One cross member has been taken off. Still need to take the tx10 down to go through it. Going to clean up the shop tomorrow and hope I can find the spanner wrench for the coilovers tomorrow. No pics cause my phone is basically screwed cause of the new iphone 7.0 update I just did. Yay!

Progress has been made, school killed me along with a jeep buggy build so the xterra is coming along slowly. Before the update pics, has anyone relocated the gas tank to behind the axle and also, I got to ride in a buggy with a 6.0 for the first time.

Cut the existing crossmember off.

Cut a hole in the floor that needs to go 2 inches forward, gotta remount the seat in that area.

Found my spoolgun so I can weld the t case without having to take it somewhere, had it for 5 or 6 years, never been used.

Oh yeah, also bought a set of racing harnesses cause I find myself getting dumber and dumber each trip out.

So, quick update, I'll get more detailed pics tomorrow.

First off, Cut the hole and put the case up to it.

Made a bracket, frame to case.

Then, cross member to mount input/output and put a skid under it.

Where it's going to sit.

My ground clearance that I can move at any time, just have to extend the the frame to case mount I made for the front output side.

That's all for now, I'll be making both my driveshafts and a buddy is going to cut and tig my tx10 for me so that's all taken care of, just need to address the radius arm mounts and trans cross member for front shaft clearance. Also relocating tank to the back for future 4 linking.

Thanks Tim! Did some easy work today, made the last mount.

Finish welded everything.

Capped the ends of the tubes so nothing gets inside of them and stays there.

Then it was time to paint!

The reason this is going so slow is because I'm also building a Jeep YJ Juggy, got the rear axle semi done, just needs brackets and to be masked off for painting instead of over spray everywhere.
