Supposed to rain all day here. Probably not going trick or treating but some friends invited us to a Halloween party. I'm going to try to weasel out of it. Not feeling like socializing at the moment. Want some true isolation..
It's supposed to rain all day then change over to snow tonight. Trick or treating was canceled wich is not really a surprise because it's always freezing cold or snowing or on halloween; I feel like buying costumes is a waste of money we should just buy the kids new winter coats.
Daughter#1 looked at the weather forecast and was in disbelief that it is supposed to get down into the 20s tomorrow night. She was not overly enthusiastic about have to play her flute in the cold weather for a football game.

Silly Americans. Up here, we buy our Halloween costumes big enough that they fit over a snowsuit.
Done the flute in cold weather for a football game stunt before. It isn't so bad if you get to keep playing, but every time you stop your fingers start to go numb, and it really affects the intonation of the flute. A good couple degree shift in flute temperature will bump the sound up or down by an entire note.
