Yesterday......went to fix the drip from the kitchen faucet.....$2 fix....putting it back together a piece broke.....no replacement for it....got a new faucet for $200.

I love when a small repair job costs 100 times what it should

Oh yeah, over the weekend a coupling on the only sections of piping we didn't replace at the beginning of the month started dripping.

I cut the water off to it to attempt to get it to stop but it was spraying water when I cut it back on.

After work today I cut out that coupling and replaced it with a slip splice to get the water back on in the back bathroom. Then when I went to shower later on, the air trapped in the shower piping caused such a hammer when it hit the shower head it broke the restriction orifice out of the head and stopped up the inlet and I had hardly any water to shower in.

So now I need a new shower head....

nice either if you keep it or take the cash value you still have somewhat of a horse shoe up your A**

You underestimate the number of these raffles going on at any given time... I'm probably still losing money if you don't look at it in terms of donating money to charities and those in need.

That sounds like a pain in the ass. I need to replace all most all the copper pipes in my house they are old and I have one about 6" above my water heater that has a small leak that I need to get fixed. The shiatty thing is i have never soldered copper pipes and don't really want to learn. This pipe has two runs coming off of it and the elbows.

I run cpvc. Everyone says PEX is where it's at but it seems kinda expensive when compared to cpvc, especially if you have to buy the crimp tool and ring splitter.

I will probably see if my dad has the crimper and stuff like that, he has been flipping house for the last 3 years so he has most likely used pex.

Did you get a lifetime alignment from them?
Been thinking about who to use when I start messing with it..

Sure did. Bought that when I first put tires on Tonka. Now every oil change is "Check alignment" too, especially this time after doing some Moab stuff.

And that wasn't the worst. I had a heck of a time going UP Longs Canyon and through Pucker Pass. Evidently Pucker Pass should be run north to south... I ran it reversed. Not the easiest way to get through the Pass area.
