I got the results from the shake down at the dealership. They say... the motor switch is out on the 4wd motor, that they took the cover off the back of the transfer case and it wasn't trying to engage..plus smog cans and an abs senson for 3k$!View attachment 22911View attachment 22912
Speed sensor issue does disable 4x4, Im currently fighting that on the 06 now. And by fighting, I mean it is parked until I find time to meet my buddy to replace it (along with a couple other minor things). Again. Because I cheaped out the first time and bought an aftermarket one that ended up being garbage (was also in stock, vs a week for OEM to show up). Which may not have been necessary as the wire to it had a rust hole.

Also, does that include labor? Because that seems stupid expensive for just the wheel sensor. And labor isn't all that difficult, just pop the wheel off, undo 1 (I think it was a 10 or 12mm) bolt, pull old sensor out, disconnect from harness in wheel well, reverse steps with new sensor.

Yea, that was with labor. I took it to the most notoriously expensive dealer in the area just so I'd have nissN techs looking at it for the diagnosis. I'm gonna have them do the cats for 1300$ and tackle the wheel sensor myself as others have suggested also.

Now the search begins for finding an affordable oem sensor..

What did they mean by "both" ? Is that front and rear one bank?

Yes, but the rears are not monitored. They probably mean both primary cats unless it's limited to one side and they figure the secondary could be plugged.
Definitely check what they are planning to do. Probably a better deal to do both primaries unless the secondaries are plugged.

I had a blonde moment. I knew there were 4, I'd priced them in my notes previously.
He said it was only coding for bank 2 primary and they had it in stock. He originally quoted me for a manifold vs cat so honored 648$ for one w/ labor so I told him to do it. I'm now looking for the best deal on a wheel sensor.

Who wants to go halfsies on a set of Viair compressors? I want to order next week and the 444C is $250 for one or $340 for two. So if someone wants a compressor we could buy the dual kit and split it for a total of $170 each.

Any takers?

That’s a good deal. I have air already but hopefully you find a taker.

Similarly, I want to carry a spare SPC UCA ball joint, but I can only find them in pairs. If anyone wants to also carry a spare we can split the set.

That looks like a great price. Also tempted by this, but ideally I would want to mount one in the engine bay... not sure that one could fit.

Where are you planning on mounting it?

Either under the back of the truck where the spare used to be or in the inside of the rear passenger wheel well. Either way, I don't want to see it.

Update; they're reviewing latest mri scans. If all goes well, no transfer to pitt and tentatively getting gallbladder removed tomorrow.
Thanks for the update. Hopefully that's all it is.

If that is what it is, hopefully that doesn't affect spicy food consumption. When the ex wife had hers out she couldn't digest spicy things any more.
