FML. Stupid dryer went out again. Unfortunately, brand new ones are both stupid expensive, and probably less reliable than a quality used dryer.

On the plus side, I got the new rear door for the trailer built. Haven't cut the holes for the latches yet. The outer door skin is 1/4in plywood. The main door frame is 2x6 in a horizontal ladder configuration. I was originally thinking I'd sandwich the 1/4in plywood outside 1/2in plywood, but I really like the 2x6 frame. I think I'll use 2x4 to frame the front doors. Getting closer! Once I get all the doors made, I can pull the hardware off, and start painting!

Dunno if I've shared this before, but the K5 forum I'm on has a guy with a Opel wagon body-swapped Pathfinder. He's installing the supercharged engine in it now. Thought y'all might appreciate the build.

Why commercial stuff?
Probably a similar outcome to buying enterprise grade networking equipment over consumer grade, which you know as well as I do, is mostly junk.
He was concerned with quality. Buy commercial duty instead of consumer.
When I do get around to buying a brand new dryer (which I'll likely do in a few years), I'll will give these a very serious look.

I'm old and lazy. I dropped off the X at the local dealership today to diagnose the 4wd issue and figure out my Christmas light dash.. I can't figure them out and am sick of trying. ABS, SLIP, etc, no 4wd, needs cats. Bought to drop some $$$$.

I'm sure it's a LOVELY dryer, but I'm not spending 1500 on one right now. I'll buy another used one for now.

Not sure what's wrong with your current one, but I've had pretty good luck keeping our nearly 20 year old dryer going by fixing it myself. If we're talking electric dryer, it's a pretty simple machine... ours has just needed a new heating element, belt or bearing occasionally.
