@SturmovikWho wants to go halfsies on a set of Viair compressors? I want to order next week and the 444C is $250 for one or $340 for two. So if someone wants a compressor we could buy the dual kit and split it for a total of $170 each.
Any takers?
I wouldn't. No dealer can order them for you? Can’t find OEM valve covers anywhere. Backordered each place I’ve looked. Anybody used rockauto replacement brands?
Welcome to Apple. Where you don't own the device, and Tim knows better. It was a brave decision to lock hardware. It was a bold decision to make it where the end user had to go back to Apple to pay double for a part.I just upgraded my 2010 Mac mini to a 2014 Mac mini so I can run the latest software and future proof my VPN and download machine. That's working perfectly. I dropped an SSD I had laying around in the 2010 and attempted to install a clean copy of High Sierra to use it as the garage computer. Only to find out that High Sierra doesn't like 3rd party SSDs. And Apple has made it damn near impossible to download older versions of the OS despite what thier website says. So I'm trying to work around it but I might just have to put the old spinny boy back in it.
It's even worse in the new Mac studio, from what I hear. They've apparently locked the flash module (I don't think you can even call it an ssd, as there no controller on it) to the system via firmware. You can't even add more space by dropping in an oem apple part...Welcome to Apple. Where you don't own the device, and Tim knows better. It was a brave decision to lock hardware. The size is locked, but you can swap the same sized modules. Then you need to use your other Mac to dfu the new drive. It's even worse in the new Mac studio, from what I hear.
