Have the smity built xl with the lower awning room mounted on a trailer. It has its uses but it is not faster than ground tent. But it gets you off the ground if it's wet out. But it sucks to put away wet, and up here we have lot of wet summer weather.

We were going to go with that style, but after thinking about it, we decided that that style wouldn't really have enough advantages over a ground tent, for that reason. Now, the hard shelled iKamper style.... That's a different story. It folds out much faster, no pvc bag to death with. Yes, it's more expensive, but the speed and advantages make it worth the extra cost, in my mind.

The ikamper is definitely a better set up. We got our rtt 4 years ago for a steel of a price slightly used from a friend. Will probably get something along the lines on an ikamper or a hard shell wedge when I can find one for a decent price.

Installing Truenas Scale on my main storage server today. I took the precaution of backing up my zpool that I created on proxmox, but was able to import the zpool directly into truenas. Hooray for technology! Playing with GPU passthrough as well, into a windows VM using a GTX 460.

Zfs is good about that. There's enough array info on the disks they _can_ be moved to a new system and just imported

After I build a new workstation, I'll start purchasing 8tb drives to build a new pool to replace the 8x3tb pool I currently have.

The 8x3tb zfs pool was originally built on proxmox manually. I'm going to consolidate my file storage, plex, torrent server, and some other functions onto this NAS.

I'll then repurpose my dual 2670 build into a proxmox server, so I can play with virtualization some more.

I also need to look into a good managed switch, and see where I can fit a 10gbe card into the Nas, now that I stuffed a gtx460 I had laying around in there.
