Easier to wrench on. They were built to wrench on. The older ones at least..Honestly? A Jeep.

A sheath for the ramen?Ok man but only if it comes with a custom sheath..
All the time.Easier to wrench on. They were built to wrench on. The older ones at least..
I've done SO much more work on my Xterra than I ever did my Cherokee. All the time.
You're gonna miss it.I've done SO much more work on my Xterra than I ever did my Cherokee.
But regardless, going to a Jeep eventually was always the plan. And I'm thinking sooner rather than later should be the plan.
We'll see, might still be wheeling it next year. Just seeing what I can do.
How high is really high?
We rule and Jeep forums suck, just FYII've done SO much more work on my Xterra than I ever did my Cherokee.

100% correct. We rule and Jeep forums suck, just FYI
Sigh......i get it? I guess?Honestly? A Jeep.
Nah, what you should do is list it low and sell it to Kirk. And then when he comes to pick it up, cover it in butterfly stickers. Like, everywhere. Like, if there is a single millimeter of body panel still visible, you have failed sort of everywhere...Thinking I'm gonna sell my X. Got it advertised REALLY high just to see how it goes.
I like my Xterra. But it took a BEATING. And I lucked up and found parts to get it back together pretty reasonably. But it's so frustrating shopping for parts. Jeep axle: $150. Badass upgraded jeep axle: $200. Stupid stock Nissan axle shaft: $500 and wait 3 weeks.Sigh......i get it? I guess?
Nothing is affordable right now. I've seen 1st gen X's with roughly the same miles as mine in not as good of shape for over 5. I paid 2300 three and half years agoI miss my Xterra. I miss wheeling and am currently looking for something i can wheel without using the Silverado
Like I said. I get it. That's another reason I went full Titan on all 4 corners. Parts are a lot less scarce.I like my Xterra. But it took a BEATING. SYE? No.
T-case? 14 damn bolts and pull the cross member.
I'm just getting frustrated that everything is a compromise.
It's get a Jeep or stick Jeep axles and an ATLAS II in my Xterra but then I'm still running a bastard rear shaft and sprung under rear. And I'm still gonna want a top less and doorless ride when I'm at the beach.
That's the thing right now. You can probably make a lot of money selling but then if you're looking to buy something else, you're back in a bind.Nothing is affordable right now. Buy my X.I miss my Xterra. I miss wheeling and am currently looking for something i can wheel without using the Silverado
Holy shiat! I wasn't even close just looked and there's a SC 04 with 200000 for 6900 and a 04 with 220000 for 6500. Mine had right around 204000 when I bought itThat's the thing right now. I found a YJ that's an option for me. 88, 4.2L, TF999 auto. NC vehicle. Price is a little high but it's a pretty rare bird too.At this point in my wheeling life, if I ever sell the X I'm going backwards. Older. Old Patrol, Box Body Bronco, 2-Door Pathy, and if I did another Heep it'd be YJ. And I'd just have an absolute toy and then I'd buy a daily driver that could tow said toy.
Passed on it. Didnt want to but it Has nearly 300k on the chassis. Too much unknown.@Prime
I know I said no more three digit broken down Xterras, but that ShockBlue thoView attachment 25421:

They'd put me out the gate without one. Might as well have one that slightly annoys everyone I work with (the color)I don't have one of those because IDGAF about osha
Sounds like a candidate for an engine swapPassed on it. Didnt want to but it Has nearly 300k on the chassis. Too much unknown.
And a transmission rebuild and full bushing replacement and a front end rebuild, and its a 2wd auto.Sounds like a candidate for an engine swap
Need to add M & M in white On top! hahaNew hard hat today. View attachment 25461
The problem with the 88 is carburetor. 91-95 is fuel injected.I found a YJ that's an option for me. 88, 4.2L, TF999 auto. NC vehicle. Price is a little high but it's a pretty rare bird too.
But what I WANT is a LJ Rubicon. Yeah they're pricy, but a 4" kit and 35s and it's done.
My list is basically most of Guy Ritchie’s films, plus Layer Cake. Would love recommendations for similar flicks.British gangster movies. Go.
I don't mind carburetors. Grew up playing with them. The problem with the 88 is carburetor. 91-95 is fuel injected.
Of course if the frame and tub are good, I'd swap in a v8 anyway.
Good luck finding an LJ Rubi that hasn't been abused.
