They were quicker to slash and burn the thread where I would have expected them to ask/tell us to edit out some information that encroached on their rules. It is what it is. I'll play by their rules in their house.

Meh, why play in that kind of house when you have a mansion at your disposal. *cough cough XN*

Are you guys in the Nashville area, and will local pickup be possible? Any ideas on shipping costs? I hate to be the grand inquisitor here throwing question after question guys. But I'm just damned excited about your product, and future products!

The manufacture will happen in Goshen, Indiana. Shipping will shake out to around $60 in the midwest. We may be able to work out a pickup/delivery option depending on scheduled transfers and trips between locations.

Thats a tough question for a company to answer publicly.

But we paid for a sponsorship here before we even signed up over there, right?

Haha, I know it's about exposure you don't have to say it. I was just poking fun like Dave did. We have a little fun at the other forums expense from time to time even though they have served a purpose in the past for most all of us. /end thread jack #backtothegroupbuy #hashtagsforfauss

Funny I used to date a girl in Goshen her father was a Dentist, and the had like the biggest Christmas tree in town. Something like 60-70 ft. tall.

I see you didn't get a warm welcome on CX ;)

They still welcome people?

That does not surprise me at all about CX. No wonder I never returned after it started going downhill.

CX was mostly full of douchebags which I think took refuge there when XOC crashed and they pretty much remained there and the mods...well, we'll just leave it at that.

Glad to see a new vendor contributing to Nissan community though!

Now build a rear carrier and I won't have to pay shipping costs when I can pick it up in Nashville :D:

It's on the list, for sure.

Once we get the shop fully setup we will be willing to do straight customer work that's outside our product development. That is something we are looking to get into shortly after the 1st of the year. We will be in touch on that.

I'm looking into buying a 2nd gen X to speed the development of parts. Right now I have to beg/borrow a truck to get measurements and model on.

If you were in Knoxville, I'd gladly let you borrow my X for measurements ;)

Also, if you could have options like maxterra does with his like backup LED lights built into that, that'd be sweet deal!

Well guys We've been busting it on all our startup issues and projects and trying to spend a little time with family around the holidays to boot. Thats important to us here.

Want to get an update out there to everyone who may be watching our progress. I sent over prints to the fab guys for 5 products for the Nissan in the last 36 hours. Big things coming.

Here is what I owe you to this thread: screenshots for the 3rd option of our sliders. We have new equipment coming in this week along with pushing out one of the last of our pre-existing projects so we will finally be able to finish setting up the work stations in the shop. We hope to have a set of these built by this time next week and get real pics up.

We got a filler page out there at www.engineeringpp.com and are working every day with our web designer to fill out what will make up the back end and a basic store.

We have a paypal setup and linked to our bank account so will be able to accept deposits.

Now let's talk about options.

I have seen multiple times posted on multiple times recently that people would be interested in a protection tube or even a tube fender that runs from the slider to a bumper and bolts on at both ends. Something that could be described as a mini/bolt-on Exo skeleton.

We can do this as an option for any order for a small additional fee that is TBD. We need to get a handle on cost of materials.

What will be required on the slider side of things is making the ends accept another piece of square tubing in the future. Similar to a receiver hitch. This piece will have the fender protector tube welded to it and will bolt into the existing rock slider. The other end will have the same type of connection to the bumper we are developing.

To do this we will shorten the front end of the slider approx. 2" from your standard slider, insert a removable cap and drill a hole in the horizontal faces in which a bolt will slip through to affix the future piece.

I put together a model real quick to visually explain the idea. Please keep in mind this is just a visual example not a final design. Pictured is a 1.75" tube that I already had modeled. I actually think I would use 1" tube(s) for the tubular fender /fender protector. But you get the idea.

Oh that kick-out will be sweet! I hope that's what goes on my truck. And that's a pretty novel idea for the exoskeleton.

I like that your kick out is more subtle and rounded, and would be less likely to snag and hold you than some designs I've seen. Some have leading edges that are perpendicular to your rockers and stick out so far that tight clearances would result in getting stuck, etc. Yours looks like it would avoid that better.

We are going to start taking deposits today, 12/26 and will start production Monday 12/30. We will have an initial delivery schedule Sunday 1/5 based on number and type of deposits. a *rough* estimate of lead time is 3 weeks.

All products will ship as they are finished. There will be no waiting for a group.

We may be able to work out a Nashville pickup if you're willing to work with my travel schedule to/from the manufacturing facility. My next tip is scheduled for returning to Nashville February 16th

This pricing will continue to be valid until all pre-orders have been filled and delivered.

The bolt on fender tube preparation is available to ANY set of sliders for $25. What this will entail is making the main rub rail 1.5" shorter in the front, drilling a hole for the future connection and using a rigid push in plastic cap to close the front opening instead of welding a steel cap.

Tube fender protectors are in development and will have a bolt on connection to the front tube bumper that is also in development. There are plans to have a configuration that attaches to other manufacturers bumpers and the stock bumper.

Thanks,

Mac@P&P

Want to thank you all for your interest and support. I have announce a slight production delay due to the weather we experienced. We got ~16" of snow and nearly the whole state is/was under a no drive order. Just have not been able to get any work done the last several days.

We do apologize and hope everyone understands. We will be getting back up and running shortly and are targeting early to mid-February to start shipping.

Thanks

Mac@PP

I sent a PM about 2 1/2 weeks ago asking for payment info (I am ready to buy) but I had no response. Maybe they are just that behind at the moment?

Apologies guys, the forum stopped emailing me when there was a response to this thread and we have been swamped. I should have checked in sooner. I do not want to make excuses, I know I promised to start shipping mid-February and blew it. So don't take this as anything but what it is, this is an update of the last 6 weeks from the shop:

Toooooooo many people found out we have a Bridgeport and we are at the point of having to turn work away. Pros and Cons there. We've been buying tooling like mad and have massive capabilities here.

Polar Vortex has been KILLING us. Business & Roads have been closed by order of the Sherrif's department 3 times this winter which resulted in us running out of tools or materials twice. I'll take the blame for that for not being prepared with those things in advance.

My oil pump decided to not pump oil to the top end on a -20*F start up and I locked up a cam in the head which broke the timing belt I just put on ~15,000 miles ago. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee......

I have 4 other products in various stages of development. 2 of which came directly from ideas crowd sourced from the various Xterra forums. We will talk about that more when we get caught up on what we already owe you. Soon.

I've got a soft commitment to have another fabricator join us mid-March to speed all this up. Never did I think we would be bringing in more people already.

All that said we are planning on making our 1st shipment of 1st Gen sliders NEXT FRIDAY 2/28.

And because I am behind I am going to continue offering these prices for the time being until I am caught up.

I have to make a new prototype for the 2nd gen and do another fitment to make sure this is right. IT's kind of a pain not having a truck sitting here to do whatever I want with at all times.......might have to fix that.

2nd Gen schedule right now is as follows:
New prototype then schedule with my local 2nd gen guys the weekend of March 8th - 2 weeks.
Make the jigs starting Monday March 10-12
Start production and have sets ready to ship by the 12th-14th of March. - 3 weeks.

Glad you are still around P&P...I have seen a few people pop in saying they are going to bring products and never follow through. I have sliders and bumpers already...but skid plates....bring an economical skid plate for the first gen around and I am all over it :)
