Member Motorcycle Accident Caught on Tape

Ok some of you may have seen this in my build thread but I want to get the word out for fellow riders. I just want to show my experience with this so that all can maybe take an extra second to look for motorcycle and not ignore them. I was T-Boned by a DUI driver on my way into work and she then left the scene and left me laying on the pavement. Wow...first, let me say that I'm glad you're alright! People really do need to look twice, I see motorcyclists get cut off all too often. It ticks me off to know that people can be so absent-minded while behind the wheel of a vehicle. It's like wherever they're going is more important than their own life or the lives of their passengers, pedestrians, or the other motorists on the road. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Did anybody chase down the driver that hit you? It looked like the white pickup took off quickly, like they were going to chase her down. I'd have a hard time not chasing her down running her off the road if I was witness to her hit and run...

Thanks, and yeah that dodge truck did peel out after her as well as 2 other cars that saw the accident. They pinned her in about 2 blocks down the road until police got there. The white truck driver's wife was a nurse who got out to try and help me. I'm just glad there are ppl out there who still care enough to chase someone down like that for another person.

I'm glad you're still with us. It seems like every time I ride I have to take evasive action because someone either wasn't watching or didn't care that I was there. Your incident goes well beyond that of course. Thanks for sharing this and reminding everyone to take the time to look out for motorcyclist as well as others who don't happen to be riding in steel cages.

Wow, that is crazy.. I lost my step father 3 years ago because a woman turned in front of him causing him to t-bone her on his bike. Died on impact according to the report. Do not have any pictures I can post on here due to the severity of the wreck.

What a jack@$$ it makes me sick to see people hit and run, especially when its someone on a bike!!! Glad your alright man, my brother had awful solo car wreck into a house and a nurse lived next door, I'm not going to get to religious but I think its gobble watching over.

I wasn't trying to steal your thunder- just trying to help raise awareness! Those tanks don't give!!! My vag hurt for like a month after that...luckily, I came out with a bruised pelvis, sprained left wrist, bruised tailbone (they believe I had a hairline fracture but didn't do MRI to prove it), and bruised ribs. I had virtually NO road rash and was wearing jeans and a tshirt. My helmet took a good lick, but I didn't even have a concussion. I was VERY fortunate.

LMAO that's hilarious. The chiropractor took that one and I just left my jeans on. He just wanted to see how misaligned my back was. Mr Hanks up there was WAY worse off than me. My back is still screwed up, though.

Oh no worries...you are in no way stealing any thunder lol I am glad you posted up as well... anyone else who wants to help spread the word is welcome to add whatever they want..sounds like you took a good lick...my injuries were a good bit of road rash (not fun to have scraped out everyday for treatment), had 2 surgeries - 1st was to remove some of the damaged soft tissue and 2nd was to do a skin graft from my thigh to my foot, after that it was just bruising and physical therapy but all is pretty much good now except for scars (which are cool lol) partial feeling loss in my right leg....but hey I'm here lol

I called Gorillamel sir on her build thread. The worst part is she's in the first picture of the thread, and quite clearly NOT a sir.

I kind of thought NismoFire's "girly parts" comment gave it away. That, and the fact that I met her at the Toys for Tots drop off. unch:

Glad you both are ok! It is bad enough that drivers do not drive accordingly around most motorcyclists, it is something completely different to just take off after T-boning a motorcycle. Did the driver that T-boned you do jail-time for the hit & run?
