Like the title says, I'm going to be a daddy! My wife told me she was pregnant about a month ago and we've been holding out telling people til now. We started trying for one in July, so no it's not a surprise. We had our first appointment with the doctor about 2 weeks ago and she'd been wanting to wait til after our second appointment to tell everyone.

The excitement got to us and we decided to tell people today. We're going to tell our parents tonight and post up on facebook later after that *so the few of you I have on fb don't congratulate me until I post up ;)*

Being a father is one of the most important things to happen in my life. I had a new outlook on life when I realized that this little person's view of the world is shaped by what he sees from me and his mother and how we react to life. I have never felt more honored to be responsible for another life. Sometimes I just sit and watch him in awe. I know that there will never be anything more important in my life than my children. Congrats man. It is truly a blessing.

Thanks so much man. I am truly blessed in my life and I am excited to be able to give more of myself to something meaningful.
This site's awesome and all, but a child is a pretty big deal ;)

Haha I'm not quite that obsessed. We're gonna name him Connor Justin. Justin is my first name and it's a tradition in my family to pass down the first name of the father to the middle name of the son. Or a slight variation of it. My dad's name is Randy so my middle name is Randall.

Thanks! I'm going to start a thread on a little boy work bench sometime soon. I've got all of the material together now. And my buddy is going to make one that is portable to take with them when they move home, he's air force.
