Opinons needed.
Have the option to buy another Xterra rear h223b axle already set with 5.13 gears not locked for $300. Cons. it came off that SASed green 1st gen guy from NYC offroad.
Do I A) buy it and lock it later
or B) Suck it up and buy 5.13s and ARB for my own diff rather than risk someone elses possible problem diff (aka mileage and abuse)

You got all kinds of sub-lethal options aside from taking down the bird feeder.
Spray the cat with water. A spray bottle or garden hose should do it. Add a drop of lemon juice or vinegar if you want to really impress the animal.
Throw rocks. Got aim? Lob a small rock at the torso or rear end. Almost hitting the cat counts and will deter them from coming back.
Air gun pellets. I have used this method on one particularly obnoxious, aggressive neighbourhood cat who would cut up our females. Aimed for and hit the rear half of the animal. Molly stayed away for a very long time after that.

Full on in the face exposure at close range could maim or kill the cat. Probably not necessary unless the cat attacks people.

5 mile Electric Fence controller.. and good Grounding wire near the Hot.. Cats, K-9's, Deer, Just do not like that ZAP!!!.
HATE them things. Even when unplugged and metal fence post laying on the wire.. I still hesitate... Hate electricity zipping into body..

We are slowly moving the rabbits outside and if it goes in the backyard and starts messing with them it's not going to have a very good time. I'm going to start building the last hutch tomorrow. They need to get out of the house. They will be much happier as will we.

We have an electrified fence in the backyard -- 4 strands -- that is targeted primarily at mule deer. Mule deer can rip young fruit trees to shreds in a just moments. The fence seemed to be working. I say seemed because the local mule deer population has crashed for reasons that escape me. Once erected, the only mule deer that managed to get into the backyard came through from the street in front of the house, precisely where there are no electrical fences.
I have kept the fence off for the past 18 months. Not fond of the aesthetics and would love to remove it but fear that local mule deer numbers could bounce back any year now.
I recall this one young doe mule deer that had reached the backyard by hiking gravel in from the street in front of the house. We surprised the doe. The doe bolted through the electrical fence into the Sage brush steppe in behind the property. I don't recall whether the fence was on or off but I doubt it would have mattered.
In the past, I would clip folded pieces of aluminum foil dripping in cooking oil and peanut butter on the fence. The idea was to get the deer to lick the folded aluminum foil or touch the nose and get a shock. The well protected hides on these animals seems to protect them from nuisance electric shocks.
My first preference would be to hunt these mule deer with a compound bow but that would be rather illegal. Which is too bad because in some BC towns and villages, deer can be a real nuisance. Governments have spent millions on moving deer, sometimes with high mortality rates.
Seriously doubt that an electrical fence would deter a domestic cat but if there is a way, please share. I watched dozens of cats negotiate live electrical fences.

Deer are a pain.. I used Hot wire, with Direct Ground wire 10' on either side.. Touch Full circuit ZAP!!. Worked.. BUT if it spooks them.. They bolt busting the fence.. I tried the Dangling tin foil. Wet nose to foil sniff helped with that 1/8" gap & ZAP!!.
Did work good on a Feral cat, feral dogs. Amazing FUR Puff and flight.. I use Trail camera's to target my pests!!.
Live trap, Add Collar to cat, include Recipe for "Cat Rice Chow" and a step by step Meal prep.. With Note to owner, please feed Cat more Healthy organic Meals Please!.... Cough cough Read that on the Internet.. ;-)

I was talking to my mom today she was asking if I have seen 5 or more ackers of land for sale in the county i live in. Now my parents have 9 ackers that they live on and I guess some people are building a house a little ways up the road from them and they came to my parents property complaining about my nephew shooting his rifles. They told my parents that the bullets were ricocheting and hitting their property. I call bullshiat on this one because they have a target set up then a backstop behind the target built that consists of railroad ties old tires and a dirt berm then beyond that there is a grove of walnut trees. I told my mom that I would have asked them to leave the property and informed them that what they are doing is harassment and infringement on their 2nd amendment rights. Then I told my mom to post a no trespassing sign that way if they come back they can call the police and have charges brought against them. My nephew has been shooting there since he turned 18 that has been 6 years now and nobody has complained until now.

Sounds like they will also whine, when tractor bails hay at 11pm, making noise & Dust. Or seeing the young kid driving tractor, with beer in his hand. And whine about safety.. Um that is Farm life!. The Real good ol day's.

Have you tried predator urine yet? I would not waist time with a decoy they will just ignore that. Hell I have called whitetail in using a coyote call before.

I tried, coyote, Bear, Cougar, and Hanging dog scat in stocking. ( Rubber gloves required).
Deer are Goats gone wild.. They EAT everything and adapt fast.
people tend to feed them, I whistle they start coming.. Grrrr.. confirmed Feeding. Must Re-train. Whistle POP goes paintball. Or chase with air horn.
They avoid me now, as with whistle. haha. It's a learned behavior.. Fawns tend to learn quick. I chase them enough for idea.. human =bad. But not over do it either.
WILD ANIMALS. are wild.. SEE human Run from human.. that is a good wild critter!.
Remote alarm on the Xterra Helps too. ;-)

They are in for a big surprise when it gets closer to deer gun season it sounds like a war zone over there with all the people shooting over there.
