Kids are on spring break this week. So far school is only closed next week. I'm working from home this week and possibly next week too.

Wife made it home at about 6:30 this morning. Then the hospital she works for said she posed no risk so she had to be at work at 7 tonight for 12hr shift.
The middle girl and I hit the grocery stores to pick up a few things. Wife gave me the go-ahead to grab a few gallons of Coleman fuel and some other things we've let get low in the stores.
That took 2 damn hours....
Sitting here sipping on whiskey and catching up on interwebs BS. Was a busy day all around......

I think this franchise doesn't need the "vision" of different creative staff for each installment the way the Marvel movies have benefited from. It needs one small group of pedantic nerds who will stick to cannon storyline and build off that rather than all this "surprise information" BS that's caused these movies to suffer.
I enjoyed Force Awakens for it's almost cheesy fan service. I have to admit I fanboi'd a little when they first flashed the Falcon on screen under those tarps!

TLJ was such a mess. The side quest that didn't f'n matter AT ALL. They WASTED the chance for Leia to die a BADASS death but gave it to that Admiral instead. All the political and social justice BS they pumped into it. It hurt to watch it.... I'd still rather watch it than I, II or III but damn, not by enough to really matter...

BIG white ski hill closed for the season at 3:30 today. We were there and had stopped skiing for the day and bought tubing passes around 3:00. Just get a couple runs in and they stol the lift and all the staff in shock. They had just got an email that all hill functions to stop at 3:30 with a 5 min notice. It was crazy.

Friday: work announced 2 week office closure, working from home.
Sunday: governor announced bars and wineries needed to shut down or do takeout only, and restaurants need to halve their capacity. Of course we’d been eating out and visiting wineries all weekend. Dumb.
Monday: Bay Area under “shelter in place” starting 12:01a Tuesday until April 7th. Can only go out for groceries, health stuff etc. Can walk outside if staying 6 feet from non-family members. No non-essential travel, including biking, so there goes my plan for sanity rides in the mornings.
Though I prefer to keep a supply of essentials, our pantry (cupboard) is kinda small and it bothers the wife to have ‘extra shiat’. Needless to say we didn’t have that kind of stockpile. Went to like four different places to stock up on food, booze, cat food, etc. People are crazy - they literally buy the weirdest stuff. Waiting period for guns is too long so didn’t bother - will make do with hand axe, machete, breaker bar, whatever else is handy if any weird shiat goes down. Not sure if USPS/UPS/FedEx will be affected, so haven’t started ordering any car parts. Have random projects waiting in the garage anyhow, if I have time to get to it. Need to dig out another HDMI cable to use the tv as a monitor, it’s rough going from 3 screens at work to the dinky screen on the laptop.

That sucks, when they shut down our state I hope they don't put restrictions on traveling. I don't care if its 20° and snowing I will have to get away from the family or I will go crazy. I already told the wife that I'm planning on going fishing and she got mad.

My wife drives a little over an hour to work. And she works very near UVA. Could get interesting for us.
We stocked up some last night. We have a good store of stuff already because we do a lot of bulk buying because it takes a lot to feed this estrogen fueled army of mine.

I had a talk with my boss this morning and told him that me and two other people on my shift want to work right up until we have to close the doors if we are forced to shut down. The wife and kids are getting ready to got to the schools to get chromebooks (which are not very good) and text books. Today is the first day of their online schooling.

Just spent an hour on the phone with Indian scammers who said I had been charged with two felony counts of money laundering and drug smuggling. Pretended to drive to Walmart so I could buy them gift cards to pay my "security deposit" and have my arrest warrant taken care of. Good fun, and I hope they call again.
