All GM products are inherently garbage. They had a few decent decisions in the last 70 years, but not many. Mercedes are all generic German car. Nothing special or exciting. Just 15 feet of boring car that will never go wrong.
While Hondas are bullet proof, they're ufcking boring. Even the recent Si Civics that are supposed to be their tuner car is no more exciting than the base model. It's the beige of cars.
