lmfao that is almost exactly how it went down except instead of bleeding it was complaining
Never had to do that to our own, howeva. When I was at my first command VFA-125 which was a training command for the pilots we had a few foreign groups come through in a back contract with McDonald Douglass. We trained both Saudi' and Fin's. The Fins were great ran their shot like a race team. Each plane had a pilot and a crew of 5. If the bird was down the pilot was pretty much the gopher whiles the mechs got it back up. Saudi's however, enlisted are a much lower class of people, almost like slaves. So they would come to the flight line like gobble's and boss us plane captains around. Now for those that don't know even though their is rank in the US military your job can basically make you out rank someone. You still have to salute and give all the military pleasantries but as a plane captain in the US Navy I was the single person responsible for that plane until I passed it off to the final checkers who intern were in control of the plane until they sent the bird to the runway for launch.

Anyway this one Saudi pilot comes out and is being a total ass, no letting the plane captain go through his check list and completing his preflight. As a 3rd class petty office I wore a radio and called into our maintenence department which was run by a very salty Gunny Sargent (VFA-125 was a split squadron with a Navy Co and a Marine Xo) and let him know. We finally finished our job and handed him off to the final checker. Again this guy was an ass so I called back to the Gunny. At this point t the Gunny was pretty fed up with him so he decided to have us taxi him around the flight line u til his class landed and he missed his training so his superior officer could deal with him.

Needless to say we never had that issue again.

Ive been in similar shoes but instead of having students miss their flight time the wing commander made them do a change parade. From dress uniform to flight gear for every class, flight, sim, and pt session For a month for each person giving medical a hard time.

but I’ve also seen it when people come and see me and be really understanding and thankful we where there just in case they lawn darted their aircraft

Absolutely when I went to the fleet our Div O came into our shop on the Connie white as a ghost and shaking. Told us his AAR went off halfway through his patrol and he was able to .ove out of the are and assess, they just lit him up on radar, ur it scared the shiat out of him. He was very thankful it picked up as early as it did and told us all to find him and our next port (Singapore) cause he was buying us a beer

How many pipes do you have now? Guy I know from the lounge is a huge pipe nerd, and he said you have to have multiples because you have to let them rest for a few days after use.
Just one. Interesting. Never heard that and will look into. If that’s the case might pick up a couple cheap corncob pipes.

Well tomorrow is my last day of work for the month. I so cant wait for tomorrow to be over then have a 14 hour drive to do with 3 kids on Thursday. That will be a long day
I've got two weeks of off-road-tripping with the wife and kid coming up. I'm betting my wife makes it home, and somebody finds my and the kiddo's bodies about 20 years from now.....

All Star game. NL wins it for the first time since 2012.

So. Yay!

But, the 9th inning closer was Kimbrel. What a ufcking asshole. ufck. I mean, he pitched the winning out. Eventually. Whenever he pitches, drama ensues.
