Backed the X up to the shed [ 2 step's up and it tie's into the dock] to unload a new tool box that I got the old man for x-mas . So I opened up the rear hatch then looked away for a minute and then when going for the toolbox I preceded to smash my forehead against the edge of said hatch . YEP , I forgot I was 2 step's taller and the X was on ground level
! Did I mention I was hungover as $hit .

Home, pondering putting the x on a trailer and taking it home so I can possibly do some electrical on it since the truck this motors going in will probably be in the shop for a month

That reminds me though..... I need to replace the struts on my 03. The hatch doesn't like to stay up if it's cold outside...
Anybody know exactly what struts to get?

I use these: Hatch Struts A little stronger than stock so they lift just a bit higher.

It says those are for a 2005+. I'm not sure if they'll work on the 03 though.

Not sure on the LBS on those struts.. If you have a ladder on the hatch. Might want to go heavy on the LBS for holding up the hatch.
Some side effects.. I think was member on this site.. Brackets Cracked due to struts..
Mine were 200 Lbs or 250Lbs. holds up hatch and ladder with easy, plus opens 4" higher. If your short, add Rope to the handle to close. ;-)

Coffee had, -34 outside with - 45 wind chill, 4 more days of work. And there is a place called puntzi mountain about 5 hours from. Me that usually getting the coldest weather in western Canada. Their thermometer is pegged at -50 this morning, so I don't feel as bad.
