So, our mantra on repair parts is "buy OE" right?

Well if anyone ever needs to replace a front hub on the 2nd Gen? Just buy the Timken. I ordered a Titan hub from Nissan. The ring on the back says "Timken Made in the USA."

So.... That kinda sucks. But at least I know when I buy the passenger side hub I can save $50 and just get it from Rockauto.

Two stripped bolts. Extractor tool broke off inside the one bolt. On the other bolt, drill larger hole to accommodate now larger extractor. Extractor now lodged in other bolt. Drill won't grip it, and I can't get enough force on pliers to get it either.

Now I'm taking a break so I don't start throwing stuff across the garage.

Angle grinder /Dremel the nut off and use a drift to push out the bolt, since you're at the new hardware phase anyway.

Good lord man, didn't you just put these on?

Yeah the two stripped going on last night. All of them took a lot of muscle. They put a glop of something on the threads (yellowish) that had completely hardened. Whatever it was intended to be, I don't think they considered how it would store and/or a cold weather install. I should've wire brushed it off.

Unfortunately these screw directly into the light housings. I'm at a loss. After some Googling, I'm not the only one that's had this issue and it sounds like they'll warranty them at least.

Slawson is the new 3 time King! Two Gomez brothers in 2nd and 3rd as I understand it. Good race but I hate it for Steele. Blowing the front driveline in Kings Graveyard was a heart breaker.
