That really sucks Eddie.
Yup , sure does . Seem's like we both had some schlep-rock type pandemic luck lately. How's the house coming along ? Good I hope with no more unexpected find's !! Did you ever get your Zapp's chip's in ? First thing I ran out of was the Crawtator's :D

On the plus side ; if there is one
I put some ridgid flush mounted pod's in the rear plastic corner piece's [ got them on a trade , I wouldn't pay that much for light's ] . Ufck their bright !!
I also have some SS brake line's for Odo just ain't put them on yet.

We emptied the living room yesterday. Today we're gonna tear out the ceiling and prep it. I've got to do some wiring.

The guy said he'd able to start in the next two weeks depending on the weather so we're trying to get ready for him.
I'm glad it's starting to come together for ya . I'm not sure of your T.V./stero layout but if you don't have the surround sound hardwired in the wall's might be a good time to do it !

I'm currently rethinking the layout of my rear tire carrier. I don't want it hanging out quite so far, and want to move the jerries to the side of the tire, rather than behind it.

Ceiling is down. Gonna start on the wiring tomorrow after work.

Looking at adding some recessed lighting, three way switches on the ceiling fan light, and separate switch for the fan itself.

Also updating the main power feed for the downstairs lights.

Probably a dozen 50 gal bags loaded to I could barely lift them. Gonna get kids pulling nails tomorrow while I work on wiring.

I've gotta make a run for some stuff tomorrow I guess too. Need some three way switches, maybe a 4 way to be able to turn on the lights from the basement steps as well.

Also need a new ceiling fan mount. Our current one is a 2x4 nailed in the rafters, and missed on one end.... fun times.

We put some chili together this morning so that and some cornbread was supper. Probably gonna get into some bourbon or maybe vodka in a bit....

Got the main feed rerun with a grounded cable. Also got most of the wiring in for the 3/4 way switches for the ceiling fan light.

I'm going to have to leave some of the old wiring hanging in place, derelict, for the porch lights and I'm trying to decide how to feed the dining room and be able to pull it through once in in there but not have a junction box hidden behind the drywall.

Had to borrow a right angle drill from work to put in the wires for one of the new switches in a spot where the drywall is still up.

Always fun times in an old house.....

Had to punch a couple holes in the freshest painted walls to run a wire for a new plug. I am starting to get tired of Reno’s. Good luck with yours and hope you can get it done in a timely yet affordable fashion

The girls are pulling the nails out of the ceiling from the old drywall. We got the rest of the ceiling lighting wiring in, now to make the final connections tomorrow.

Also put in a new ceiling fan mount. We're getting there. Gotta put the deposit in for the guy to start his work tonight and hopefully we'll be done with this mess soon.

Wiring in the ceiling is done. I pulled in a spare 12/2 that goes into the dining room ceiling and is just wrapped up above the fan mount. If we wind up having to drop the ceiling in the dining room I'll just have to pull the fan and replace the old wire with the new and then pull the spell through the wall in the dining room to feed that light.

There's a bird's nest of 14/3 hanging there right now but I think it's going to make a nice setup once it's in.

Yours is pretty much done! Ours wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the termite damage. We were talking about just tearing out the dining room next and having this guy do the drywall in there. Then on to the kitchen after that...

Got the X up on the lift at Jeff's yesterday to install the new extended brake line's so step 1 ; Hold the new one's up to the original and make sure there longer . Check :) Okay on to step 2, spray a little Blaster on the bleeder's and make sure they brake lose and not off . check ! :) Step 1.5 [sometimes you need to go in reverse to go forward ] Let's check the length of the new metal line's because ""Dealer minion's"" Humm  now where did I put them? no where  I forgot to order them ! DUHHHHHHHHH ..........The whole reason for replacing with new extended line's was because when I was painting the rear I noticed the steel line over the punkin/stopsign had corroded almost in half and wasn't far from failing so why not do them all ! I'm not sure if I had a Homer Simpson or a senior moment:eek: at least I didn't tear everything out . Step 3 lower lift- move lift arm's outta the way- then crawl on the floor and double check bleeder's to make sure there tight enough to drive to stealership and order part's :D Accomplish much 2day, I didn't . Lol

We are waiting for the last upper to come in. ( helps when the wife changes her mind after the 1 pantry was received broken) and have an apt to go look at counter tops today.
Look's good ! It's amazing how much more open it look's from taking out the small section of wall next to the stove and also the room above the cabinet's just make's it look bigger. If she can't make her mind up on the counter tops quickly make some out of cardboard and be sure to spill everything with a lot of color on them ; wine-grape juice-chocolate-etc,etc ;) she will chose quickly then. Lol

It's probably too late but had you taken the wall down to lower cabinet height you could've put a 12-16 INCH piece of counter top there just so who's ever cooking could put a spatula/utensil plate on it or anything else you use while burning animal flesh :)
