Then came my addiction to bedliner! I bedlined my plastics, my headliner because it was falling down, and then my whole xterra because I got tired of all the “custom pinstriping”

Man that turned out great! What did you use?
Thanks man it is Monstaliner Blood Bath red
I think I am bedlining my headliner. I have it pulled and prepped.
One thing i would suggest is use a roll on like rustoleum in a gallon or quart or a smooth material like monstaliner but the important thing is the roller used that gives awesome texture! we rolled rustoleum in a gallon and did my brothers truck with it using the monstaliner rollers and its amazing im kinda jealous of it lol also im redoing the headliner this way because used spray on during a little breeze which made it like sand paper and my friends hate it well because they have cut a knuckle or two :p but still B.A.

-Also i plan on rebedlining the X again because i got in a hurry and from the pic abouve you can see what i call chunks in the texture and I didnt cover some areas too well because of poor lighting. ima try a different brand like Raptor Liner because 1. its cheaper and 2. i can color match it exactly to the original color

Oh and heres my brothers truck bedlined with Rustoleum (from the gallon) using the Monstaliner rollers and rustoleum Sail Blue on top

How long ago did you bedline your X? How well has it held up during that time?

I totally understand your bedlining addiction, though I have not done my whole truck...yet.

I bedlined it in June and has held up great! No flaking and most of all no scratches :) now if you take a car key and stabbed it like I did it makes a faint mark but lick your finger an rub it's gone. Only reason I'm rebedling is because of the flaws I made

Whoa! I really like that red color. It looks so even. Very nice. I may have to do that. I have a custom pinstriping job thanks to Coal Creek, if that doesnt buff out I may have to take the plunge.

I do believe I finished mine first :p haha just playing
I may have to take the plunge.
I aint gonna lie the first time you sand the paint and look at what youve done it almost makes you wanna cry. then I started rolling my bedliner on and was like hell I should have done this a long time ago!! I look at it as an investment. I love to take my car places and yes its about to be 10 years old but that doesnt mean it has to look like crap and bedliner its the perfect solution. Its tough enough that it can go anywhere and at the end of the day it still looks just as good as the day it went on so my X will always be looking great :) now I know some jeep guys who have bedlined say its hard to clean and all that but actually mine has been way easier to clean than my original paint. Mud comes off with some brushing and hose her down. With my paint id wash it and get out the car wash and still find dirt or stuff stuck to the paint and have to wash again. So for me its worth it and only cost $312

Looks really kool, almost like a matt maroon color... I just like the contrast the pictures show as far as color goes, I'm just not a fan of bedlined vehicles still

update:
okay not too much to say but recently got another job at the college i got to as lab assistant. So full time student and 2 jobs means the progress on mods should come faster although still slow since i am a pre med student and have to put in alot of work. Anyways im redoing the bedliner on the x because like everyone says prep is key and my prep obviously isnt too good because its coming off in some parts from pressure washing but that gives me the chance to use raptor liner which is suppose to be stronger and more like line-x. Im gonna color match it to the original molten lava and then raptor line the floor black and do all the trim and mis. Pieces in black raptor. So $500 bedliner paint job here we come :)

Update:
I took a jump and ordered my 2" BL which still kinda scares me messing with pieces that attach the body to the frame :p but my X wants to be a big girl one day so it should go on sometime in May after finals.

Just watch out for the damn heater core hoses. I found out a little to late =/ Aside, it's an easy job and you'll be happy with the outcome.

Yeah thats something ill be sure to have covered! lol what kinda scares me is loosening the bolt on the steering and ripping/tearing any wires or etc.. but other than that im sure ill be good.

Steering is cake, tie off the wheel good and you're set. Other than that it's just the heater core that screwed me. Just go a little at a time when jacking the body up.

The body lift is easy man. I did it with my dad (with air tools) in maybe 3 hours and that includes raising both bumpers.

Neither one of us had experience but I has read the write up several times.

It also helped some that I have no rust so no seized bolts lol.

how much bedliner did you end up going through? im thinking about bedlining the entire truck as well cause i really like the textured look and the fact that i wont have to worry about the paint ever.

Question.... Did you roll on the Monstaliner or spray? I'm seriously considering doing mine in like a black or something. It has some pretty good pinstripes going on.

You can get an impact for $100 or so, then rent the compressor from Home Depot for about $45 a day.
I live an hour away from a home depot and have to cross mountains to get to it so by then the price with gas there and back ill just tackle by hand.
Dave (DRB) is having a mod day at his house or at the 4WP store this weekend...maybe they can tackle it for ya?
If i wasnt busy this weekend lol

I rolled it on and used 1 1/2 gallons. this summer though i am rebedlining it completely to fix the beginner/rushed mistakes. Im using Raptor Liner instead of Monstaliner because i like the texture of like Line-X instead of a more rubbery product. its suppose to be more durable.
