gah....ok, let me retry....right now, a link blends in with the text, regardless of which color scheme you're using, and a regular user can't edit those themes. what I'm suggesting is a link that behaves like most regular websites do, either underline it because it's a link, or make it automatically show as a different color, so that on any theme there's a visual indicator that there's a link, any color scheme is fine, but, what I was getting at was to have web links stand out so that if they're unexpected, you see that they're there, without having to run your mouse over all of the text....

First off thanks to the braintrust(s) of XN. It's turned out to be a refreshing change.
I've gone back to other sites I have logons to and I actually don't care to go back. Attitudes with answers, uninformed opinios, bad advice, ect, ect, ect... Wish it we possible to pluck certain individuals out and drop them here.

So my thanks to those in the BIG HOUSE...hope things stay on an even keil.

Invite them over sir... In time I hate to say but we will have some of those tire/PMl/ Tire again / lift issues questions.. All we can do is try to guide the noobs in the right direction and be nice..

This forum is by the people.. For the people...

Even the not so smart ones :)

sure, you'll have questions, but, having the answers and being nice and welcoming is what makes a good community. If you never have questions, then you'll never have the fun of taking someone new under your wing and showing them the ropes.

Thanks man, this comment is truly appreciated.

We are doing our best to make XN the place to come to and much more.

Yes, pluck away.

The place where you click to change font color, bold, add links and such is gone in my text box. I'm using google chrome and I've restarted multiple times and checked to see that my flash is up to date.

Did I somehow turn it off or something? Who turned out the lights!?

this maybe petty and not effect anyone other than myself... but when i was signing up for xn at the end the captcha is riddled with color, im sure by design... why is this a problem? im color blind (no i dont see in only black, white and gray, and keep the jokes to yourself i guarantee they are not funny). i had to try the captcha 3 times, and then finally on the 4th try and standing up in front of my tv to see better(didnt really help) i finally got it right. very frustrating. dont know if there is anything that can be done. just thought id mention it. me with less patience would have equaled no steelx on xterranation

Mac, I've had the same problem. Even though the COLOR/FONT/SIZE buttons are dim (on my screen) they do work. I had to click the down arrow and wait 5-6 seconds or click on it twice before it activated. Thought it was just me. But it seems sparatic.

Well that sux. That is one way we keep spam bots out of XN. I can look into alternatives for future Xers with a vision deficiency.

We fixed that problem. He needed to clear cache and temporary files and log back into XN.

believe me i understand the need for the captcha.. i believe ive seen one that has a choice to verbalize it ( speaker icon next to the image) and other in black and white... obviously you dont need to change anything, but may be something to look in to when extremely bored one night.

Nah man. I would like to make an experience on XN a good one. I looked into it and upgraded our human verification to reCAPTCHA.

reCAPTCHA is the human verification tool that supports audio, allowing blind and color blind users the ability to register.

Our company uses recapcha on our site with great results. I believe it doesn't do color which is a plus.

Even though I'm not color blind, I hate the color ones. Specially the capchas that are almost impossible for the average human!

Is there a UserCP option on XN? Sometimes I don't want to look through ALL New Posts and just want to see any new posts I am sub'd to. Almost all other forums I am a part of have this but I can't seem to find it on XN. Sometimes it's annoying having to navigate through my profile and then going through all subscriptions I have, with or without new posts in them.

if you click "quick links" it drops down and you can choose "today's posts" or "subscribed threads"

Don't know if this is relevant. you actually have to select and click the "subscribe to thread" button in order to create a subscription list. IMO this is actually a good feature, you don't automactially suscribe just because you post in a thread.

Try clicking the settings button at the top right. I believe it serves the same purpose as a control panel.

My Profile (formally known as UserCP)> Find latest posts*

*At left under your profile pic.

You can also click on your name in a thread and select "View Forum Posts".

If you go to "Quickie Links" and click on that link, and scroll down to "Forum Leaders" you'll see that the text under the screenname of the leaders is all bunched up together making the text unreadable....might wanna take a look at that.

I'm not seeing it on my end. What is your screen resolution set at? Post a screenshot.

The only thing I can think of, is that it's a Internet Explorer problem.

Try Google Chrome or FireFox.

I had that same problem based on the screen print. I had to adjust my screen resoultion to correct it. I use 2 different laptops. 1 has a 19in fairly large screen running XP and the other is a notebook 10in running Windows 7 starter.

I'm pretty sure you all are already aware of this, but Rep Power is only showing one of the 2 digits. Most people who show 1 rep point actually have 10-19, 2 have 20-29 etc. No rush, just a heads-up.

If you change the color scheme to green the background becomes black. Some of the lettering in the screens are also black (names list for one). You can't see them.

I just noticed the BADLANDS poll is in the West Central instead of the East Central since they were split. Can it be moved to the East or actually deleted since there is no need for the poll anymore?

I got 'Forum Runner" for my iPhone; any chance of setting up this site for that app?

It seems this app is growing in popularity. Tapatalk is available for multiple platforms, the iPhone included.

We can look into setting Forum Runner as well.

it's supposed to be an easy setup just like tapatalk was....forumrunner has both a paid and free version, I think that's part of the appeal...and honestly, having both on my ipad, I prefer forumrunner to tapatalk....I use it on my BB and Playbook but, I'd rather have forumrunner....

Hey Guys,

I'd like to get a list of all the existing Clubs that hang off the XN site. IE: seXTERRA and the soon to be MAXterra. I'd like to get Creepy to make a decal of each one for me to show support. Or if you know someone in each club who's the contact for decals, that would be great as well.

Thanks
