On a side note.. Im going to start a poll on a chat room for XN..

IMHO... A chat room would be great. I'd vote yes.

After further thought about this and being a former Chatroom Admin on a few sites, a chat room here would be a mistake. Chat rooms QUICKLY get out of hand if not run properly. You would loose the purpose of thread. People will wait for the "answerperson" to showup in chat and bombard them. Also, If you think there are personality problems now within other sites, multiply that by a factor of 10 in a chat room. Just MHO but it is from experience.

There is a "General Discussion" FORUM that I'm thinking is NOT GEN specific. Would it be possible to create a "General Discussion" THREAD within the GEN specific Forums in order to keep discussion topics seperated by GEN as well? Or is this handled already and I just don't see it. I ask because I posted a question that I needed a quick answer to but it was a GEN1 specific inquiry.

I don't think it would make much difference in people's awareness to your question really. Depending on the question, I would say you could have posted it up in the Gen 1 Forum specific to your query. Say it was a steering issue, check the steering forum to see if there is a thread specific to your issue. If there isn't, go for it and start a thread regarding your question. If it's deemed unnecessary then I'm sure you're question would be answered and your thread dealt with by the moderators. :D

Is there a reason why when I reply or post a new thread that I don't see it at the top of the list when selecting "whats new" or "New post"?

And don't those two links take you to the same place?

If you recently responded or sub'd to a thread and you were the last to do so, it has been seen... so it isn't new to you until a new post is made.

Duh, okay got it now...I was just used to another place that...(OML, I just shed a small little tear)...sorry anyways, that even after you replied or started a thread it would be there at the top of the list so even you could see it there and if it was looked at, replied too and such. I will be okay if that is just how it is.

So I'm using the free version of tapatalk and everytime I open a thread I'm errored out. I'm either force closing or submitting the error. Anyone else getting this??

I saw that Dave!

Android=crash
iPhone=autocorrect

It gets worse the longer you use the phone, unless you disable it.

As far as your issue Doodle, I was also unaware of a free version of tapatalk. I also didn't find anything in a Google search. The only thing I can suggest is to buy the full version, its worth it IMO. They have a pretty good troubleshooting section where you can post an error log to have the devs look at it.

Dave got a hold of a bad one apparently. I love my Droid Thunderbolt that his wife suggested I get. :)

It's rooted btw :D

I just noticed an issue with tapatalk, when attaching a picture and opting for it to be hosted on XN rather than tapatalk. No matter the quality selection it fails with an error along the lines of "You don't have permission." Just a heads up.

How do you attach a photo into a thread from your phone to begin with?

While posting in tapatalk there is a camera button next to the submit and and discard buttons.

can we *please* edit the site's theme to make links in posts stand out (a different color) so that when they're in a post and not expected they still stick out a bit?

I'm torn here, I'm one of the ops in the tnx irc chat, but, the problem that comes with that is that unfortunately, not everyone is infront of it all the time, even if it shows they're online, so, patience becomes key. User chats only work well when they get an established user base and people are actually around (not just passively lurking online)

a way to edit default link color? I mean globally, make links stand out instead of being the same as the normal text.
