Indeed...great reputation from what I've seen...I'm sold on it. It shoots much lower than my dpms though...

Yeah, that's what I've read. Its an lower-middle ranged rifle in terms of accuracy considering the price. Everything else, however, is pretty solid considering that they are pretty much Bushmaster.

Newest addition to the black rifle fam- 6.8 SPC. Can't wait to get it to the range! Too bad palmetto state armory sent me a 1/2-28 flash hider and not a 5/8-24 one like I ordered. I need to find something to protect the threads until the correct one shows up.

I made the mistake of ordering magpul pts (plastic) pop up sights, they worked acceptably on my dpms, on her windham, I couldn't roll the front sight up far enough to get her on target...

Windham weaponry is the former owner of bushmaster back when they actually made good stuff. Now bushmaster, Remington, and dpms are all just revenue streams for the ant gun movement that is George Soros.

Y'know, I really and truly wish that I could make my XD fit my hand the way the PT840 fit my hand...that thing was just about perfect...

I have a Kahr CW45.
I love it!! It's a compact single stack but its got just long enough of a grip to get all fingers on it. 3.6" barrel.

It's very accurate for its size. It can reach out and play with the full size pistols.

I can't decide what to do next... I would like a 1911 and also a sub compact XD-9 for easier carry... decisions, decisions...

Wife has one, you'll like it...

As for concealed, if you can't conceal that xd9, you need a better holster and a change of clothes. Whatever route you choose, stick to that one sidearm for carry. Don't accessorize your outfit, and if the outfit wouldn't conceal your sidearm either don't carry, or change clothes, don't mess with muscle memory and training by changing sidearms or placement...

Also undercut the trigger guard more and rounded off the front of the trigger guard. Much more comfortable. Also changed out the grip force adapter and left it the way it is. I found them once stippled to be way to rough since they are made of a different material.

Gettin ready for a fun range day Sunday!

null_zps51f1ab4f.jpg

left to right: DPMS LR-308B, PSA 5.56 w/ Leupold 1.5-4x firedot, PSA 5.56 w/1-4x leupold, Aero Precision upper & lower w/ ARP 6.8 barrel. Not pictured is a colt A2 20" HBAR and PSA 5.56 w/ vortex Strikefire. Range time will be a blast. Have access to 300m range and will be doing lots of shooting. Have to sight in my 6.8 and the green PSA. Then I'm doing some load developing for my 270 WSM for some long range shooting and for my .204 ruger. Wanting to squeeze as much accuracy as I can and get a solid load worked up for each so I can start cranking out ammo. May even consider reloading 9mm so I can shoot my Glock more often as I hate carrying when I don't get much range time in.

Since some POS thought it'd be cool to take my XD40, now I'm shopping for a new one...

Found a 5" xd40 for a good price, thinking I may be snatching one up...

Damn that blows. I've got my guns covered on my renters insurance. They said with my renters insurance they'll even cover stuff stolen out of my vehicle. USAA ftw

Sent from Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters

My homeowners would cover it, but, it's got a deductible that's higher than the cost of the replacement.

Hopefully you had the serial number written down to give to the cops. Had a buddy that had a shotgun stolen but had no clue what the serial number was.

Serial number's been posted here if I put a pic of it up, but, yes, I did.

Now, the debate, spend an extra $35 for a 5" or save the $35 and stick to a 4"?

my glock 19 is 4" barrel and I've got no problem hitting a steel target the size of a stop sign at 100 yds. unless you are using it for competition I would probably stick with 4"

My PT840 had a 4" barrel and I was hitting a 6" gong at 200m, the question is, if I can have a 5" barrel for a mere $35, I don't know if I should....

Do you plan on concealed carrying it? That right there would be a deciding factor for me. If you aren't then I suppose there is no reason not to get the longer barrel. Longer sight radius, make it a little more accurate with a tad more velocity.

Sure, and, all things being equal, I can conceal either one, as I'm not a small guy ;)

For $35 more I would just do it. I'd love to get a full size pistol for competition but can't right now so I went for something that I can conceal well, and shoots great so I can still use for competition.

Hammer FNP 9 The model after it FNX 9 has a more aggressive grip and 1 round higher capacity. I like the FNP. The FNS is the same gun...for the most part...except striker fired. I like having the hammer.

I miss having a manual safety and hammer...
