I am thinking about getting myself a bottle of welding gas for my Lincoln 140 Mig welder. I have been welding with Flux core wire for a little bit and would like to try my hand at adding gas into the mix.
I already have the regulator, and gas tube to go from the bottle to the welder and I also already have a spool of filler wire that is non flux core that came with the welder when I bought it. my big question now is what type of gas should I be using ( Keeping in mind that I am just an Amatur at making metal hot and sticking it together). Ive heard of people using Argon, CO2 and Mig gas ( what ever the composition of that is). What should I be using
any imput would be greatly appreciated
