So excited to finally have an X-Terra. Back in 1999, I had a deposit down on one, but the black sports car across the street peaked my interest and became an impulse buy on the spot. (yeah, yeah, a sports car vs an XTerra, but I was young and the car was black) After having a Pathfinder a few vehicles later, I knew that an XTerra was what I REALLY wanted to drive. Picked up my silver 2013 S (with "Value Package" thrown in :) ) last Monday and have LOVED every second of driving it since. Have not started to mod it out yet aside from tinting the windows and having a custom black vinyl "Bat-Symbol Sun Visor" installed on my wind shield, but I am certainly looking to do some upgrades soon.

I am certainly glad to be on this forum. Don't really know what input I can have, but I am a professional detailer and while I would never advertise my services without Admin approval, I am always more than happy to answer any questions anyone may have. (even though I am sure most of you like to keep your XTerra's as dirty as possible.)

My previous car before the XTerra was a 2005 Dodge Magnum. I had a Police Push Bar on the front of it and it really made the Magnum stand out. I have been on the lookout for one but I have not been able to find one that is JUST the push bar (like the ones on police cruisers) part without the extra metal that extends out to cover the headlights. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to find one of these? It's really the first mod I want to make.

Welcome in! Lots of fiendly, helpful people around here. Look around the build threads for ideas and you'll find lots of things to spend money on.

Welcome to the nation man. A lot of people won't recommend one of the bull bars because they are considered damage multipliers in the event of a wreck, but some people don't care and want something aesthetically appeasing do they get one anyway. More power to em, Westin makes a bull bar that I've seen on Xterras before but I wouldn't have the slightest idea on where you'd go about getting one. I'd price compare one of them with maybe a bumper from RLC Fab, Shrockworks, Hefty, and Calmini before settling on any one thing.

Also, tires are the #1 difference maker when it comes to looks and offroad performance on an x so definitely look into that. Congrats on the new x and again, welcome!

Thanks everyone for the advice and the Welcomes.

Macland: I always wondered about the impact a brush guard would have. Like I said, I had one on my Magnum, and the way it was bolted onto my front bumper basically took away the crumple zone so if I ever hit anything, the Magnum would probably have just kept going...

This is the reason we call them Damage Multipliers
