Couple more from yesterday... Welding in birkenstocks is straight out of the OSHA code book;)

I have the Viair 380c with the 2.5 gal tank and she's all up an running:) I had a small leak at the connection between the regulator and the ARB solenoid so that's why those pieces are in between with 50 hose clamps;) That's just temporary. Let me know if you foresee any issues with how it's mounted or anything.

Thank you!! She is a labor of love that's for sure:) I am currently working on a pre-Ouray list to get ready for a club trip at the end of the month. Some of my random stuff came in... LCA box was beat up and did not have the zerk fitting:/ But at $85 shipped, what are you gonna do? Used the loctite 545 for the first time on all the NPT fittings when installing the new lines... awesome stuff, sealed up when it started building air pressure (thought it wouldn't work because some of the fittings screwed in so easily). The pressure switch is set at 140psi, I set a stopwatch and at 47 minutes later the pressure still read 140, so no leaks!! On to the next...

Ouray Checklist
~Re-Tune CB
~Install 300 Amp Breaker
~Re-Torque suspension, diff and BL
~Fix Rear Brake line extension
~Perm install bullydog
~Run fuel line over the arb line and reposition regulator and solenoid into the cab
~Maybe replace LCA if I have time, the new one is on the way

Picked up a pack of zerk fittings so the LCA is ready to go. Finished up the plumb/install of the arb. Takes around 6.5 minutes to fill up my 2.5 gal. tank to 140psi. Jacked up the rear and tested the locker, solenoid and locker functioning/engaging properly. I think the way I ran the braided line over the regular blue arb line should be sufficient for long lasting performance without kinking issues. All put back together and almost ready for Ouray next week:)

Thank you!! I try to show enough pictures and information so that if people have any questions they can just PM me so I can help walk them through it!!

In other news, swapped the LCA and turned out the dr side is bad too:/ Just wasn't as bad as the pas so I couldn't hear it was bad until the other was fixed. Debating on whether to amazon prime one in and swap it before ouray or just not care. It's not nearly as bad as the other but you never know, I always like to be prepared. Also got my CB tuned today. Found the set screw missing allowed a couple wired to twist off in the loom, re-soldered them back up with the help of skibum315 and got her tuned and sounding nice!! Now I just need to get the rig loaded up for our trip and we are ready to go!!

So we had a great trip!! Only had a CV boot come off and was able to re clamp with a hose clamp before I lost too much grease. Had to lower my front coilovers as they were way too jacked up and my camber was horrible. My transmission fan was a little finicky after some water crossings but it was fine when dried out the next day. Here are some instagram pics:

^^That would be awesome!! I am not too familiar with axles, sas'n, adding extras; but will someday. Right now I am more focused on an overlanding vehicle rather than a straight up wheeler. I do not want to trailer the xterra ever, I would like it to be capable of high speed highway driving as well as a capable off road vehicle.

Depending on what you call high speed driving. 4.56's and 70+mpg range with 35's equal a fairly high rpm and low gas mileage. Now if your talking in the 55-60mph range I get 18mpg. Higher or lower it gets worst.

Thanks for the info. I feel highway speeds are 65-75 (as that's what is posted leagally here in CO on some highways). Do you feel I would be better off with the 4.10's in regard to speed and MPG?

As of right now I have 35's, I also have the 4.56's. I wounder if I made the right choice. If all you plan is mainly driving city and hwy of 55 a little interstate of 70+ I would say 4.56's is correct as I get 13 in the city due to stop and go. But as long as I stay below 60 I can get around 18mpg if it is constant driving. anything over this it starts dropping. I'm about to make a big trip across country at 70-75mph I will let you know how bad my MPG was. I know when I go 70-75 its been 12-14 range but I have not driven that much.

In the end it all depends where you drive. I do like going off-roading with the 4.56's as you can just idle in 4lo and walk around your truck. I am planning a big 12k trip next year but it will mostly be lower speeds and I'm pulling a trailer so the 4.56's will come in handy.

Updated the OP for a more coherent read. I scored a used gobi stealth rack from my buddy Slas, I need to add some custom light tabs and mounts for my 40" up front before I get her mounted. Ordered 5-MB TKO 17x8.5 rims wrapped in 35x12.50x17 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Added a couple used US Military black Scepter 5 gal jerry cans. Figured I would add those to the gobi for warm showers and stuff. Will probably rig up some sort of gravity fed spout system for now, until I figure out a way to use my OBA for pressurized hot showers!! Woot woot@@! Got another raingler net to add more safety to the dogs area in the back seat. I would like to make something now permanent for the side windows in case of an accident so they will have a safe barrier. Add a 153 piece craftsman and 53 piece max axess craftsman tool sets for the trail tools. Was really sick of swapping all my tools back and forth... Let's see what else...

I am going to add something like that to the rear windows. But the dogs occupy the rear passenger area. I have the large ceiling net and the shelf net containing the items in the rear cargo area so the dogs cannot fall through to the back window. I have the regular cargo net that is usually used in the cargo area between the front seats and the half divider net I picked up is for above the head rests up front to completely enclose them in the passenger area.

I was thinking of retrofitting one of these along with interior window nets that are permanently installed but still allow the door/window to function normally.

Got my 35's installed and almost aligned and my VDC/SLIP reset. I brought it back home to adjust the UCA's a bit to get the alignment perfect. I'm bringing it back for them to throw it back on the rack this week, all for a steep $50:) Great guys over here at Stapleton Brakes plus, didn't even charge me the "lifted truck" charge.

I trimmed the rear portion of the front fenders and tweaked my front suspension a bit. Still playing with the up/down travel on the front coilovers. Want to get them perfect before the alignment. Front fender currently sits at 39.5" in front of the tire, where the bumper meets the fender. Full droop was at 46.5" I believe. Added to the list above... Here's some pics:

Used some simple green on the frame and axle to get them cleaned better than normal at the car wash. Worked really well. Here are some proper post car wash pics...

Tried out her new shoes... Pressure regulator is has a small leak and the 380C on it's own takes way too long to fill the 35's. Going to order the higher pressure switch and 2nd relay so I can install the 2nd 380C and maybe look to add another 2.5 gal tank. My thermostatic controller is still on the fritz from the water crossing's in Ouray, so I really need to add the bypass switch ASAP!

NORAC Twin Cone fall colors run yesterday.

Its about time you got that thing installed! Looks good!
Thanks man!! Believe it or not you can get the stainless washers, rubber grommets and zinc bolts (Ace doesn't carry SS in metric and the chrome was $3+ a bolt lol) for 100% of the OEM rivnuts for around $25!

I love your build and more importantly I love you get to use it off-road.
Thank you!! Still going back and forth on the 4.10/4.56 issue. I do plan to have a new off road trailer in tow, so I just don't know what I want. Both switchback 35 mph mountain roads and 80 mph highway... But I got my front ARB!!!
