Hello from NV!

Hello all! I'm Chris and I live in the Reno/Sparks area with my wife and three daughters (12,4, & 2). I work for Peppermill Casinos Inc. doing the A/V & control systems. I enjoy wrenching on the X in my awesome 3-car garage, being outside with the fam, and just seeing new places. So far the X has made a lot of great memories happen, hope for a whole lot more. Looking to see some new places as well as some new faces! Ok, now that that crap is over with, on to the pix! I'll work on a build page next.

The Scott family:

My best poser shot so far:

Thanks for looking!

Welcome from New Mexico.

I like the way you roll, man. I just got back from wheeling around the mining ghost towns of Silverton, Telluride and Ouray Colorado with the family.

Thanks! Might I find some pix of said trip? I really enjoy ghost towns and old mine sites. The history behind it is amazing. We have a ton of it here in NV, I also frequent Northern Ca.

Thanks man! It's a work in progress for sure.

Familiar faces from my own neck of the woods, sweet! I sometimes have to do service calls out in Wendover, maybe next time I leave the work truck at home and bring the X out your way?

Cool man, lost of trails out here not too much crawling, but plenty of trails with great overlooks

Welcome from VA!

You say you do A/V and control systems for a casino? I'm in the same game for the resi market. We should talk. I've been trying to break into commercial work....

We do everything from single room solutions to full blown million dollar jobs. As far as control we do Control4 and crestron. What are you guys using for control out there?

Nice! I did a lot of work up in the Lake Tahoe area doing custom homes. It was fun and I learned a lot but I do enjoy the com side of it more. We use a lot of Crestron around here nowadays with a little AMX thrown in here and there. With 7 casinos under the Peppermill umbrella, it keeps me pretty busy.

Yeah, I imagine it does. Are you doing the hardware or programming? Or both?

I'd like to do some AMX but we just don't have the market down here. The crestron systems we do are mainly repairs and maintenance. But I farm out the programming.

Thank you all again for the warm welcome.

PRIME, I do some of it all. I'm only Crestron certified to the essentials of programing course though. I have my old asian friend who is a black belt in the ways of Crestron and AMX do 99.9% of our programing. I used to be more project manager than anything else but my crew shrunk quite a bit. Now it's the wise old fart, my minion and I so, we all are pulling cable sometimes. It's a good thing though, that desk job crap was making me fat!

Toyman gave me a great map and directions for Pillars of Rome, but that should wait till fall when it is cooler. I was thinking of wheeling around Reno area when I come to visit (probably in Aug sometime, if that works for you).

That whole area is pretty sweet. I also do some norcal trips as well. Let me now if you come back this way anytime soon. I have to take my daughter to Stanford Med a few times a yr, that puts me about 3/4 of the way in your direction as well.
