Nah man, what you have to do is this:

1) Pick out the lights, and buy 'em.
2) Open them when the wife isn't around.
3) Print out a notice sheet, like this:

4) Stick it in the packaging, then when the wife gets home, show it to her and be like "I don't want the X to break down because I put a sub-par light bar on it...and I don't want to void the warranty...guess I gotta get a B&M. BUT LOOK! There's a sale going on! What timing!"

5) Don't tell her I told you to do this.

So a question about 2nd gen bar, I see the bar clamps as you tighten but is there a way to make it theft-proof? Maybe a locking nut on one end of the bolt? How do you keep the bar from getting stolen is my question?

its not that easy to figure out how to just pop it off... i mean you couldnt just grab it and pull... you would need to take a couple wrench's and unbolt it. then undo the wiring, it would be easier to steal the front wind fairing and the cross bars...
