Are gas prices making you drive your Xterra less?

I don't know if anyone else has had the same results but on a long trip with 33's, I actually got better mileage than I did with 31's. I made it from Jackson MS to the coast on less than a half of a tank. I've made the trip a few times and never managed that. Of course in-town mileage sucks, Gas Cubby says I am getting 11.6 mpg but it's wrong because my speedometer is off due to the tire size. Has anyone else noticed better Highway mileage with larger tires?

Just for curiosity sake, what is your gearing? 4.6 or 4.9?

Today, Gas Cubby says I got 12.7 MPG on my last tank with 100% in-town driving. I did the calculations to take into account the larger diameter tires and I am actually getting 13.51 MPG in town. That's not bad considering.

2500 rpm no more/no less
everybody behind me hates me cause i take off so slow.
I have learned to drive based on the upcomming light - no breaks just - coast to the light and then 2500 rpm to the next.
