The handle is actually common yellow brass. Thank my bad lighting/photography skills. And it's been forgotten in a toolbox for way too long...
The hole on the end was exactly for a tie off cord so I wouldn't lose it.
The slot on the bolt is for a flat head screwdriver, so you can swap out the blades. Except I only ever made 1.
I lost the sheath I made for it. Maybe someday I'll make a new one, but probably not after getting used to a "real" one:
I've been using it as a project for trying to learn FreeCAD. So if you'd like to check out this file and see how I made the handle, the bolt that locks in the blade, and then fail 3 or 4 times to make a blade the right shape, then it's your lucky day!
