Thanks, guys! Yeah after I saw OregonX's bumper, I loved the cut grille look and how the headlights and grille were even. So I let the shop know that's what I wanted.

Well, for now this is basically how it will look until I can afford the rest. I REALLY want to finish it, but money is my limiting factor. Just need to connect the rad skid to the bumper with another small piece of steel (mini skid) then it should be done. And I can paint it. They recommended painting the area behind the bumper black, too. I will probably do this, too.

I'll be applying for another position at work, so maybe if I get that, I can do the rest of the bumper. Fingers crossed! I'm gonna take it out and drive around pretty stuff tomorrow b/c I miss it so much. The guys at the shop thought this was hilarious and are beginning to understand my love of my X.

um....couldn't you get the same by using an 05-08 grille? I thought it was flush instead of dropped like the 09+?

no she had a true gen 2 not a 2.5 it drops down a little further than the lights not much but enough

Posing a flexy shop @GetSome Fabrication (where all my stuff is made):

No winch yet. Alas, even tho it is on sale shipped with synth rope for only $500. ARGH! Being poor blows.
This is stage 1 of the bumper. Stage 2 will be completed later. Hopefully I get the position I applied for at work = pay increase. :-D

Went kayaking the other day and found putting the kayak on there and using bumpers to attach hooks is so much easier than with the stock bumpers.

Oh, and if anyone wants my front and rear OEM bumpers, let me know! They're dented, bedlined and well worn, but can be totally yours!

Took it out on the Idaho Off Road State Association run this weekend. Managed to nail the bumper hella hard on a rock (I have thus learned some Jeepers make AWFUL spotters, grrr). Apparently nailed it hard enough that part of my hatch is bowed out a bit. Guess I'm lucky I didn't bust out my rear window.

Ha, well, when you're as much as dork as I and obsess as much about your X, you find all kinds of places to pose it. I tell myself that I'm not married and have no kids. Soooo, all the money that would potentially go to those things, go to my X instead. Guess that means my X is my stand-in (non-physical mind you) bf till I find someone worthy of the title, bwhahahaha!

So, I bought my X a present last week. It came in the mail today. It makes me giggle with glee. I took it to Cobalt Off Road shop to fix it like new so that I can soon install it/them. Currently working on getting the other parts required to complete this mod. Hopefully soon...
