No doubt. I've been stuck n the bumper for more than a week, still need to do the rear bumper and spare tire carrier. See if I have any time left to change the oil in the gear box and rear diff...then I ready!

Ok, well, it looks like I will be installing a NXRocks engine skid when I get to Moab. Wooo! Thanks Creek and Jeremy (BigRedX).

Went wheeling with local OR club (that I am finally an official member of!). I volunteered to be potty transport:

Alrighty, well I updated the OP with some Moab pics and videos.

Tomorrow I go in for an alignment. Now that should truly be interesting, haha!
Also gonna stop by my fab shop see if they have any ideas for fabbing up a front recovery point on my X. In the mean time, it is tow hookless, i.e. front recovery-less care of Moab. Oopsy. Thankfully, a fellow TNX-er will let me have his in the mean time. Thanks!

Gonna also try to find time to paint my new NXRocks tranny skid plate lime green tomorrow and then mount it up there later this week. Big shout out to Jeremy for bringing to me from Creek's! I still owe you a beer for that!

It was so wonderful to finally meet so many of you and be able to put faces and names to rigs and screen names. I gotta say, the Xterra/Nissan community it truly an awesome place and I'm so glad to have made such awesome friends through it. Now the question is, how many of you did I actually scare?

Well, I went to the fab shop that made my rear bumper and rad skid. Wanted ideas on what to do about front recovery points. Ended up making an appt to fab up a custom tube bumper. He agreed to do it in stages so that I can afford it. Gonna drop it off over the weekend and he's gonna make the winch plate, skid and recovery points for me. Then, as more money comes in, he'll add the wings for the fenders and other bends, etc. I'm stoked!

The X finally got an alignment yesterday. Woohoo the play in my steering is finally gone! YES!

Dropped the X off at the fab shop yesterday, too, to get its new face. Won't see it again for about a week. I miss my X and yet am very excited for it. apparently when I sheared off my tow hook, I also dented the crap outta my rad skid and bent the bracket holding it in place. Huh, who knew? hahaha!

awesome work there Mel, New bumper is going to be sick!
I found out i dented my oil pan in 2 places, now those skids are a higher priority than before.

My skids got used but good, including a nice long rash on the gas tank skid. They are soooo worth it.

You know, once when I rented a mazda 3 when I was living in DC, I found the most hilly and windy road and practiced my drifting and street racing techniques (dang you Initial D for the ideas!). I had a blast! Then I had to return the rental. Even got some air time in that thing, haha!

Yes agree! I still need the engine and t-case skid at this point. Wish I had installed my tranny skid while in Moab, would have saved me some headache when stuck on Hell's Revenge, haha!

Update from today:

Love this shop. Attn to detail is awesome. I overheard him saying he wants to make sure "those Nissan guys" like it when they see it, haha! Guess I must've dropped a line about all my forum friends haha.
