Not as good as tube doors but it's a decent update.. Haha

I should have more of an update tomorrow!

I'm excited to see this come together. Always like seeing the different styles..

Yeah I don't think I've ever seen the design I'm thinking up.. it should be interesting to say the least haha.. Like I said, I may need some advice sometime soon with all the details!

I promised an update but it's just a day late.. ha!

Nothing really done to the rear storage box but I did finally get this piece painted and installed.. I had to take it off because I thought a bulb burned out (it actually came out of the socket) but when I had it off I thought.. why not yellow?! haha

I'll just have all kinds of equipment hanging all over the X ;) haha!

Lol I like where this is going!! I put a shovel and axe on my hatch but before I swapped the struts for the extra height they were to weak to stay up in the cold and I haven't tried since.

I've thought about this as well.. If I did, I would probably go with a custom 4 strut design just to say I did haha :kewl:

Well if you just swap the factory struts it lifts the hatch higher and gives it more strength at the top....but has no resistance when only open about a foot or so. Theres a thread on here somewhere about it.

That makes sense.. I guess I'll just play it by ear if/when I decide to do something like this haha

Not much has happened in the build.. I've been swamped with end of semester stuff :dead:

However, here's a picture of the Sony action cam! I've got a suction cup mount coming in the next few days so the next time I hit some trails.. expect awesome videos!

Which leads me to a question... Does anybody know a good, free video editor? Movie maker doesn't cut it for me.. I like it, but it crashes every 2 minutes haha. Thanks, you guys!

Maybe...

Maybe not...

:kewl:

If you did, let me know once you test it out! I have had my eye on that booger for a while now! I'll probably try snagging it this spring. I may have to get a new bumper made though... :( With the SAS, it looks like we are going to remove the BL, so I'll either have to modify the RLC or sell it and get a new one made.

Admist all the winch madness.. I finally got a hold of my new Sony Action Cam mount! I took a video going from my grandparents house to mine and I think I'm going to post it up to YouTube as a test for future videos to come! Here's the mount..

You shouldn't have to modify the RLC should you? I know mine will work with or without a BL..

Hmmmm... I'll have to get back with you on that. I just assumed it wouldn't because I thought the mounts were made 1.5-2" lower than normal to account for the body lift. If it will still work, you have no idea how happy i would be!

It's a sucky picture but you get the idea haha

You can see the two different sets of mounting holes.. the bottom for the 2" BLed Xs (which I've utilized) and the two sets above them for the non-BLed Xs. That's the way mine came, at least ;)

I hate you so much right now......I was going to do the exact same thing with some spare lights I have on the bottom of the bumper now........:rawr:
