Bumper trim turned out really clean :kewl:
I happened to see you on Youtube going over that large crack at GONE and seeing the rear panel piece get ripped off. Did you manage to get that fixed? Those videos of yourself and the other trucks were awesome. Someday I will go.
Haha, I'm that guy, and yes, it was fun.
I want to do your rock crawling, east coast stuff is way too muddy for me.
Yeah, that looks a lot more fun than being muddy, except I'd buy bias tires if I lived out where rocks were sharp. You running a 4:1? If not how's your engine power with the 37's? Mine seems to have been lacking before I parked the x for tear down.
I would do bias, but this is still my DD, believe it or not. Now, I only drive about 1-2 miles to work everyday (I really should just get a bike), but I still drive it to the trail, air down, run the trail, air up and drive back home in it, and then sometime drive the kid around and pick up groceries or furniture or plywood or whatever.
Not running 4:1; I wish! The power is a little lacking, but the gearing in the axles seems to make up for that quite a bit. Basically, enough power to push through obstacles, but not so much as to break things. I wanted to do the Calmini gears, but they discontinued them. The guy on Pirate that is doing the TX-10 to TX-10 had me interested, but it would be such a long unit, I would be afraid of the rear driveshaft binding up at full droop, so that is out of the question now. I would love to do an Atlas II, but those suckers are just too expensive... Do you wanna build (AKA "sponsor") another TX-10 to NP 205 adapter???
Really, my huge downfall at the moment is the LSD I have up front; I really, REALLY want an air locker up there. It has been weighing on me for a while, and I may pull the trigger on getting that done soon, but I do not have the tools, nor the expertise to tackle that myself... and I have been looking at youtube videos A LOT.
Also, I may still have the hydro assist parts sitting in the garage waiting to be installed that I have procrastinated since May of last year on putting on......... still doing some research on that....
Any reviews on adding the 2:1 gear reducing mod on the 4LO in the stock TC? Worth buying?
