That rear bumper is super awesome! Not too many people who can pull off a full rear bumper like that. Great job man.

Man this thing is more than epic. And if your air setup starts vibrating really bad, I used some things I got from lowes that look like a rubber cork. Drilled a hole through the middle and put them under the compressor on mine to reduce vibrations. Mine is mounted in the same place as yours, but right on the floor, so not sure if you would be better putting it between the rack and floor or the compressor and floor or maybe both. The whole truck used to reverberate when I turned the pump on, but now its just the noise of the pump.

Nice job on the build. If I were to do my setup again I would also remove the body lift. It really can be intimidating being that much higher off the ground, especially in off camber situations.

It will be pretty neat when Steevo can get an SAS kit out on the market!!

See you in Moab!

Thanks! All I hear when I turn it on is just the noise of the pump. It's not bad at all; even with the windows rolled up. It turns on for about 3 seconds when I first kick it on and then when I engage the locker it's only on for 1 second. I really like where it's at and how it's setup. I doubt I'll even try to clean up the look of it since it works well.

Racer: Nice build you have as well! I was a little iffy when Steevo said he wanted to take off the body lift, but I am glad that's what ended up happening; turned out for the better.

In other news, I finally finished up the rear fender trim. It turned out really well. I'll post up a pic or 2 of it later. And that was really the last thing I wanted to do before GONE so now all I gotta do is make sure all my camping stuff packs in there well and I can hit the road first thing next Sunday!

Dig the orange pinstripe/accents...RR tribute? ;)

This is one helluva build...def BOTM worthy.

Thanks! It wasn't initially a RR tribute as I had bought the orange stuff before I decided on going that direction; the blue wasn't really working for me anymore. But it does match the RR orange and those Reid knuckles pretty well.

I don't know why I didn't subscribe to this earlier.

Totally awesome. If only my build was as clean as this.

Also how much did you have to trim on the rear and front wheel well openings? Also it looks like it flows well with the RLC on the front.

I happened to see you on Youtube going over that large crack at GONE and seeing the rear panel piece get ripped off. Did you manage to get that fixed? Those videos of yourself and the other trucks were awesome. Someday I will go.

It wasn't the rear panel, it was just the modified fender trim I stuck on there to cover up the bare metal... They were just glued on and didn't last long. I'm going to tear them off when I get home and just put some edge guard material there and call it a day. The rear just tucks so much that there is still a little bit of a clearance issue; nothing a sawzall can't fix. And we had an absolute blast! I'll definitely be going every year from now on.

And as for your brake line, we had custom ones made and I don't remember how long they were off the top of my head. I'll see if I can dig it up when I get back. I'm still on vacation so sorry for the late response on that one.

I wish! Haha. Not much really. I got the compressor hooked up along with the air locker and then picked up some parts to start a hydro assist setup (gotta beef up the steering link first) but just haven't had the time to do much; I've been wheeling the hell out of it though ;) Not too many pictures though. The guys I wheel with now are all pretty beastly rigs and are more interested in climbing waterfalls and going through rock gardens than taking pics ;) But I'll update this thread soon enough with a little progress and updates shortly. I haven't been on here regularly in quite a while. I've taken a break from classes so I'm not on my computer much anymore, but I am starting them up again this week so I should be able to get on here more.

He needed a little traction on the rear. I was happy to oblige.

I want to do your rock crawling, east coast stuff is way too muddy for me.

I hate mud. I really, really hate mud. And loose dirt. But there is one shortfall to all of these rocks...

So much for those awesome kevlar sidewalls...

Now, where I'd love to live is Utah. Moab and all that slickrock is awesome! And it's not sharp!

There's just SO MUCH TRACTION out there!

And this stuff. It is a lot of fun out there.

Yeah, that looks a lot more fun than being muddy, except I'd buy bias tires if I lived out where rocks were sharp. You running a 4:1? If not how's your engine power with the 37's? Mine seems to have been lacking before I parked the x for tear down.

I would do bias, but this is still my DD, believe it or not. Now, I only drive about 1-2 miles to work everyday (I really should just get a bike), but I still drive it to the trail, air down, run the trail, air up and drive back home in it, and then sometime drive the kid around and pick up groceries or furniture or plywood or whatever.

Not running 4:1; I wish! The power is a little lacking, but the gearing in the axles seems to make up for that quite a bit. Basically, enough power to push through obstacles, but not so much as to break things. I wanted to do the Calmini gears, but they discontinued them. The guy on Pirate that is doing the TX-10 to TX-10 had me interested, but it would be such a long unit, I would be afraid of the rear driveshaft binding up at full droop, so that is out of the question now. I would love to do an Atlas II, but those suckers are just too expensive... Do you wanna build (AKA "sponsor") another TX-10 to NP 205 adapter??? ;)

Really, my huge downfall at the moment is the LSD I have up front; I really, REALLY want an air locker up there. It has been weighing on me for a while, and I may pull the trigger on getting that done soon, but I do not have the tools, nor the expertise to tackle that myself... and I have been looking at youtube videos A LOT.

Also, I may still have the hydro assist parts sitting in the garage waiting to be installed that I have procrastinated since May of last year on putting on......... still doing some research on that....

Heck, I've procrastinated everything in my attempt to sell my x, now that I'm not, I'll be saying screw it, so expect the doubler to be finished 100% within the next couple months, if you want I'll send you measurements on everything.

Any reviews on adding the 2:1 gear reducing mod on the 4LO in the stock TC? Worth buying?

You're talking the 4:1 in the single case right? I've heard good reviews, but I like messing around in 2:1 for the simple fact I can rooster tail for a while if I sit on the brakes a little, but I also want the crawling ratio for when I'm really in some rocks so I'd run a doubler personally, unless you bought a 4 speed atlas t case and then you could run a single case set-up. I'll also have a solid rear yoke instead of a slip and a long front driveshaft.

TJTJ wrote this on one of my postings---- "You could also talk to Bandit4X4, they sell t-cases ready to go with lower low range gears, you give them your old one in exchange IIRC.

You could also order the lower t-case low range gears from AC (Calmini lists them, but never has them), and while its open, get ~ 3.7:1 instead of 2:1 for example." This is what I was referring to.

Hey. just currious as to where you linked up the panhard bar on the frame? I can't tell from your build thread. deciding on the calmini or custom 3 link and wanted to see where you put yours.
