This is just what I carry with me everyday.

This is a nice little tote I got from Wal-Mart. In the driver side net pocket, I keep a camera bag with my Swann Freestyle HD video camera, and there are some assorted odds and ends in the passenger side net.

The tote contains my portable air compressor and airline, the draw bar for my hitch, a couple of towels, my Bubba Rope, some shackles, A pair of Vibram FiveFingers Shoes, a hat, and some sunblock.

Under the floor has some rope, a snatch strap, a socket set, a stretchy cargo net, jumper cables, and some other assorted items.

I know this isn't under the hatch, but you wouldn't believe how much you can fit under the seats in a 2nd gen if you pack it well. The boxes are two underseat storage bins sold at Sears by the auto tools. In them are tow sets of combination wrenches (one set is GearWrench -- handiest tools you can buy) some chemlights, zip ties, Diagnostic code reader, paracord and Figure 9's, fuses, screwdrivers, and one of these (super handy). There's still a little room in the boxes, and I usually also keep a 8'x6' tarp folded under the seats, along with my CB antenna (got tired of taking it down everytime I went through the carwash or a parking garage).

Part of me really wants to build a drawer like that, but then i wouldn't be able to fold the seats down and sleep or carry my bike inside. Nice job on that though.

This what I have so far. Later I want to add a container for storing things and keeping it nice and neat. I really like the ideas you guys have came up with.

Time to take some new pics...

I'm forever jealous of the added little storage spaces in 2nd gens. And HK.., I dig that organizer. I've been thinking of building one but it's just not high enough on my needs list to jump on it right now.

J - Nice setup, I'm surprised you haven't removed the rear headrests....they're gigantic and blocks my view so I have removed them since and have been on the hunt for 2009-11 headrests since they are smaller in leather.

I've got a bungee stretched from one panel to the seat anchor with toilet paper, paper towels, and shop towels on it. I had a roll of duct tape on it but had to use it in the house.

I've got a small bug out bag and in the right net I've got a large stash of plastic bags for putting dirty diapers in on the road. I've got jumper cables in the hide away tray and a first aid kit strapped on the hatch. I have a small key chain made of para cord for emergencies and a few tools in one of the nets a well as a box of additional bungees.

In this picture we had a diaper bag and bag of clothes ready for the baby to be born, those aren't there all of the time.

Well I'm just getting started, but off the bat milk crates seemed handy. I put down a sheet of that sticky mat for kitchen drawers between the tie down rails, and the rest of the sheet is under the floor in that compartment.

Under floor is my trailer hitch and big ratchet straps, smaller straps are in the white box.

The milk crates are strapped down with a ratchet strap as well through the handles. They are just full of random junk I find handy, my laptop mount, fire extinguisher, various straps and bungee cords, towels, extension cord, and who know what else I forgot was in there.

My tool bag has basic hand tools and electrical tools. I got a backup GPS I keep in there for emergencies.

Other obvious stuff you can see is my mats to throw under a load if I need to use the roof rack, and a extra pair of shoes.

I got more work to do, I figure it will become more organized over time.

Adding one of these soon.

Boondox contacted me today to ask if he could try out some new stuff since I'm the first one to actually order one from him. So I told him to go nuts and have fun with it. I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.

Yeah, he tried to explain what new stuff he had in mind, like being able to flip it up to act as a barrier between the cargo area and the back seat. As long as I can get my cooler under it and more gear on top I'll be happy. Especially for the price.

I'm going to load mine down tonight with a stroller, pack and play, three suit cases, two gym bags, and a plethora of other odds and ends. We'll see how much use I can get out of the raingler nets holding the stuff in the cargo area.

That'll be my next addition to the cargo area: Raingler nets. Or at least the little one that hangs from the overhead hooks.

Doesn't the big one go all the way to the ingress handles over the back doors? I really just want to stash a couple of towels and a blanket up there.

I'm kind of a packrat with my X. Let's see if I can remember what I usually keep in the hatch area...

I have a plano sportsman truck bungeed to the rear seats. Inside I have a full toobox, umbrellas, extra pair of summer clothes, magnetic window screens, winter emergency kit, dry goods/food, mittens/scarf/hat, sweatshirts, blankets, towels, backpack, hiking pack, ummm...stuff.

I also keep a tent, folding chair, first aid kit, ER roadside kit, hatchet, 2 shovels, sleeping bag, mini pillow, water bottles, dog water bowl, galoshes, spare small parts, RTV sealant, tie downs, bungees, microfiber cloths, and more crap that I cannot recall off the top of my head. I'll try to remember to take pics.

LOL....is this your garage or your hatch! JK.......Sounds like your prepared for almost anything!

Haha yeah. I try to be as prepared as possible. I live in an area and wheel in areas that are VERY far from any source of help. So it is useful to have things that fix and/or make life easier to deal with when sh*t hits the fan. :) I think my hatch is far from being adequately supplied, too.
