Back in "class" this morning.

Doc wants to put me on cholesterol meds and I'm going to start taking them, but in the mean time I'm going to revamp my diet some and see if I can make some head way on my own.

Wanting to do salads for lunch at work. Cut out some more carbs and probably beer at home for the time being. Trying to brain storm options for cooking at home like tuna steak instead of hamburger and also need to get the gym membership back.

Exercise will also help bring up your HDL numbers( good cholesterol ).

Mushrooms go on almost anything. I add them to eggs, salads, soups, chilly, burgers, pizza, use them as the burger, eat them raw, and I am sure I am forgetting a few others.

My bp when I first got put on the drugs was 230 over 114 it was crazy high.

This stuff is always a concern for me as I have family history of high blood pressure, heart issues, diabetes and cancer on both sides of my family. So I had a check up and blood work done a couple days ago. Cant remember the numbers off hand but blood pressure is on the low side, it always has been for me. So glad it still is. Bad cholesterol is low, good cholesterol is right where it should be. Blood sugar is .1 over where it should be, So need to keep an eye on that one. But otherwise i am doing good. But with my family history I know I have to stay on top of my health.

The wife started on me about renovating the bathroom downstairs. I told her I will do the bathroom when I get a truck. It's not like I'm wanting a Toyota I'm only looking for a $5 - 6k titan to get me by for the next 4 or 5 years until I get access to the money my old job owes me.
