The last 2 post was just wrong in this thread. You got poor bastards like me trying to figure out how to get the money to buy a rear bumper with a tire carrier and there you go hacking one up. Shame on you shame.
replied to the reasons why I cut up the tire carrier. plus I would not wish this garbage bumper on anybody so that's why If I can't rebuild the swing arm I am not too worried

Yeah, just giving you shiat. I'm have been thinking about asking at work to see if they can build me one. It would probably be cheaper than having one built and shipped to my house. I would just tell them to keep my overtime pay till its paid off.

depends. if you can build one on your own that would be cheaper, you would just need to steel and your own time

I have not welded in about 22 years so that is out of the question. I want to get one made with a tire carrier a spot to mount the high lift and a place to put a couple Jerry cans. I figure by time I add all that up it would cost over $1k before shipping.

Maxterra doesn't make bumpers for 1st gens do they? One of my buddies had one built by Taylor metals in Pennsylvania (it was the same place that built my front bumper) . I think he paid $1,200 and he drove to pick it up.
